Thanks for checking out this video. I purchased a haul of comic books all from the Silver Age! Almost complete runs of Marvel from the 60s. Stay to the end to see the big keys and how much I pai. Hope you enjoy!
Most of the comic books in this video will be for sale at a local comic book show!

I’m 67 and have all the comics I bought new, 1967-69. 99% Marvel with Jack Kirby being my favorite. But only when written by Lee. Thor, FF, Daredevil, Cap. America including # 100, ASM, (including #59), XMen, Avengers (including 57) etc, etc…. I have the DC Batman Poison Ivy intro issue and just saw they came with the wall hanger centerfold. Just checked and it was there! I haven’t looked at these in years until seeing vids like this. Condition isn’t great as I read the hell out of them. 12 cents went a long way back then.

I watched till the end to hear the total, the price actually sounds about right. The RU-vidr West Cost davengers recently posted a similar video. He paid about the same for a silver age collection.

I was calculating the whole way. By the end, I thought $5,000 would be a steal, $10,000 would be totally reasonable. So $7,500 is pretty darn good! Congrats, there are some classics in there

$7,500 seems high - that said, if the bigger books are graded leniently you should be ok. Send me the ASM 16.

$7500 felt high at the time but for the quality of books, it’s not too bad. Hoping for some good grades from CGC. DD16 is an upgrade for me so I might let my 4.5 go once I get it back. 👍

Welcome to comic collecting! There are many awesome issues for those characters and they can have a huge range in budget. An easy way to narrow down which issues your grandson would be interested in is have him watch a RU-vid video showcasing each of those characters. I have two videos on my channel showcasing comic book keys for both spider-man and hulk. In these videos, I explain the key significance of each comic book. That would be a good start. Just want to clear something up I hear a lot of people mispronouncing Ka-Zar's name. If you'll open the X-Men #10 to the first page or splash page, it says, "pronounced Kay- Zar". But, great haul!

For a majority of the silver age comics, I use comic pro line silver age bags and boards. For the higher value silver age comics, I use egerber mylite 2 standard size bags and egerber fullback standard size boards.
