You have to remember that investment companies always take a risk when investing other people's money. So if large pension funds lost a lot of money, then the people managing those funds are bad investors by putting way to much money in one stock. That stock/company also doesn't have a high potential for growth, since it's furniture. How often do you even buy furniture? If you only look at graphs and numbers then they look good, but since it's furniture they look a bit too good to be true for day-to-day operations. As a good investor you need to look at both the technical data (graphs) and fundamental data (news/product/service/events). This reminds me when "African bank" did unsecure loans, 0 background checks. After a while they lost 60% of their growth, because people either couldn't or didn't pay back their loans.

thank you for explaining how slowly bureaucracy works. We will only feel changes that have been made after 5 maybe 10 years. People seem to live in the moment and place 100% of the blame on whoever is in charge at that moment. It's so frustrating trying to get people to understand the knock-on effect of the decisions that are made
my issue with financial crime is they are sentenced more leniently than violent crimes but the damages caused by them are arguably worst than murder. thousands of ppl are ruined and affected for multiple generations at that. but the perpetrator will get a 5 to 10 year sentence and goes back to his millions

The public is being played sooooo badly!! What were they doing all these years before there was a GNU that needed to be seen to be working? As the saying goes, you can only fool some of the people some of the time, but never all of the people all of the time. But, some like to be fooled, so 🙄
In the video he explained that change takes time. These convictions are not happening because of the GNU but because of removal of Zuma's empire. It has taken five years to undo the damage that was done to these institutions that are there to protect South Africans and it will take even more time for them to be back to their best.

Why did all the NGOs and various society groups not make noise about Steinhoff to force the government to do something, and not even only him?. They were completely silent by choice.
