In this video I’m gonna quickly go over all tank related changes in the upcoming Update 41 called Scions of Ithelia which will go live on 11th of March on PC, and 26th of March for Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

Seems like you can just have a dot like caltrops ticking and you get the heal/sustain..

Necro changes wouldn't be so bad if the blighted blastbones was based on what stat pool was the highest (mag or stam) instead of costing just stamina.

I like how they made the Tormentor set which already had niche use worse for essentially no reason at all.

*do people even use that set for taunting. all the mobs died so fast that the only taunting need is just boss fight which can be taunt with skill instead.*

@@elderwiz3165 Yeah, it kinda killed that whole build. Could still be useful on boss fights but any fight with adds it’s going to be very inconsistent.

@Hyperioxes could you do a video on raid dmg types? Like incoming dmg. What does oblivion and shields wouldn't be useful, magicka, and physical?

Have you tried the Defile change in content? I want to know if it will reduce the shield of Xalvakkas volatile shell.

No I didn't, but since it isn't affecting PvE enemies' healing I'm assuming damage shields won't be affected either

Yo you forget to discuss Sluthrug’s Hunger. It’s new set for medium dps. Could be used for both support and tank. Just have blood alter or minor life steal

Isn’t minor life steal considered a proc, some years back people were bummed it didn’t work with symphony anymore.

Some good changes here and some bad. Tormentor set will kill a lot of fun builds as well as builds which are beginner friendly for new tanks.

The Inner Rage buff is massive because it will now also benefit from the DK's increased Flame damage from the Engulfing flames skill and World in ruin passive for 5% more damage.

Depends on your luck, the chance is 89.25% right now and with the updated Charged it will drop down to 69.75%, assuming you don't have any additional bonuses from class passives.

@@WarCrimeEnjoyer685 The 1 bar Lazy Templar Tank build. It makes farming dungs and trials extremely easy with a 1 button AOE taunt after you use the vat SB to pull. I guess ZoS didn't like how mindless that build makes gear farming. Anti fun nerf indeed. IDK what they are think these days

@@WarCrimeEnjoyer685 There's basically two schools on werewolf, one for tanking and one for dps. That's how the morphs are designed. You can debuff with major breach, take 10% less damage from monsters etc.. My WW used to be a dps, now he's a tank. After the patch he'll have the most expensive single target taunt in the game. I don't know what werewolves can do after this. It was great fun just stomping on the enemies getting taunt on them. Of course you're not going to run a WW as a trial main tank. But for goofing about in dungeons it's great fun!

The nerf to tormentor shows that they never used a ww tank. It's already annoying enough having to press pounce twice to be able to taunt again as the ability changes to a bleed applying cone after jumping. Now with aoe taunt gone which was a small radius anyways I'll never use my already rarely played ww tank ever again. Rip

The change to tormentor set makes no sense. It's never been meta, it doesn't cause any imbalance issues, and it certainly isn't OP. It just seems like ZoS wants to decrease build diversity in favor of a small meta which imo makes the game significantly more boring. This is why i quit GW2 because it's just the same build for almost everything across the board and you never have to change sets for years. I love unique niche builds and this change is just so random that it makes me think it's all for the sake of a smaller meta

Scribing will allow for aoe taunts, just watch skinny cheeks’s video on the chapter coverage. He shows a list of everything that will be tied to it.
