Huge timber rattlesnake found while exploring the woods. The truth is, l almost stepped on it. I never saw it, unti it started rattling when my foot was merely inches from it!
I used to think it would be fun to go exploring with you and your friends, but I’m starting to rethink that! Too many snakes for my comfort. I’ll just watch from my living room.
I'm thankful for it. I like for someone to ID them for me without killing them. I know all the snakes in my yard, but if another snake comes in I want to know what it is.
I have seen northern timber rattlesnakes black and gold in color. In the late 70's I have seen them 7ft. Long and as big as your bicep. That was the longest we caught...
I'm so afraid of snakes. Yikes! I'd have gladly left! If that smaller snake in that other video was able to spring itself close to you into that creek, I don't want to know how far this one can spring itself forward.
Glad they warn you. My husband almost stepped on one as big as his leg while hunting alone in the woods two hours from home. Back when there was no cell phones.
Is Dan there with his stick 😮 anyway Rob Dan Cesil & lady Joy love ur work people fascinating local southern US history & good decent people 👍 watch ur channel all the time thanx. Roy 🇬🇧 UK
We have them here in NJ, but I have yet to see or hear one. Right here we are just barely outside of their native range. They are classified as an endangered species in NJ, even though there's plenty of habitat for them here.
Reason two to avoid exploring nature on next GA trip…. I see Dan and The Other Robert with snake sticks-what is the purpose of those? Is that for when you don’t see a snake and don’t want to step on it? Are they available to everyone? 😉 You have such interesting and entertaining videos-being snake bit might ruin that. Please be careful!
