I work at Starbucks and I can wholeheartedly say that people still believe that fat is the problem rather than sugar. People regularly get drinks with more than double the recommended sugar intake and then get it with nonfat milk to make it "healthy".

I‘m pretty sure that Bang used to be banned in my country because of unsafe caffeine levels. The version we have now is different from the one in the US
Man, im an ex-account sales manager for Bang and let me just tell ya. Things were pretty crazy over there. Over all actually a pretty cool place to work but dude, the CEO was nuts. We had a Christmas party one year where he flew everyone out to Florida and in his speech said that he was happy everyone was there for him. Dude, we came for the party not you. His biggest mistake was handing over distribution for Bang to Pepsi. That's when everything tanked. Not great management either that kept threatening to fire us if we didn't hit numbers every month. The entire branch I worked out ended up being liquidated. (Take that ---- and your "If you make yourself indispensable then the company will always take care of you" bs) Edit: Charlie if you're curious at all to know any inside questions I'd be happy to let you know. Some pretty crazy stuff happened like the Christmas parties having open bars and women flashing everyone while Mr. Worldwide himself was performing. Or the time when my general manager told me to wait in the conference room, closed the door and said he'd fight me cause he thought I was talking behind his back. Edit #2 : Some of yall missing the point. It might be "cool" but the flashing is sexual harassment. If it was dudes it'd be completely different. This was also encouraged and written off. CEO was nuts because of the stuff he'd tell us for our meetings (if it isn't obvious in his videos) the party example was me referring to his narcissism. There was alot of office romances/hook ups including with married couples. Inappropriate comments towards the Fuel team(bang girls) from employees and management. SOME of these girls were just girls trying to pay their bills and what not that didn't enjoy the attention but it was a super easy job. Just saying there was a ton more dirt under the surface than any other job I've worked at and I've worked at a bunch of jobs. Lastly im not trying to accomplish anything, just thought it interesting to share and feed Charlie's blooming obsession with Jack.
im guessing an extra perk is being surrounded by bang energy models and titties. i can only imagine the personalities you'd encounter working for this guy.
Savetion, I am incredibly impressed RU-vid actually let you type that. There is 100% a caffeine issue going on in society rn. As you mentioned, drinks like Bang, Reign, even Blck rifle coffee has 300mg of caffeine. There’s now caffeine seltzer water, caffeinated gum, granola bars, etc…. I know multiple people who can put down multiple cans of bang per day, for years, and not be over energized. Our tolerances are slowly being jacked up while the concentrations get higher. I’ve since moved away from those daily cans of energy drink, now reserved for special occasions(also, I did buy Bang over others due to the creatine claims, I felt and saw a physical difference on/off the bang train). Even healthy, young adults who are dedicated to fitness will drink one or two cans, coupled with “pre-workout”, which is just powdered caffeine. Monster may have more lawsuits or whatever, but they’ve also been around the longest, right? I’ve never looked it up, but I’m my experience in northern New England over the last 20 years, Red Bull and Monster were the OG energy drinks. Bang only appeared in my area ten ish years ago. Red Bull maintains a respectable concentration of like, 70mg/8oz can,so only a little more than coffee. But, bang has at least twice that per. It’s going to be interesting to see in some years if heart complications in young adults increases.
Yeah I'm 22 and I got addicted to energy drinks for a few months and it was AWFUL. I have ADHD and I was trying to self-medicate with caffeine and it spiraled so that I was drinking 300mg every day. Now I also only drink energy drinks on special occasions and I'm on actual ADHD meds. It's much better. I don't take my Vyvanse on my days off and I don't get withdrawals and irritability the way I did with caffeine.
Yeah man I can go through 2-4 cans of bang in a single work shift. I'm 4 years away from being 30 so I really need to stop drinking this crap before it's too late
It’s a guarantee coupled with how many people down bangs and then immediately hit nicotine to start their mornings ☠️ Plus the amount of people who have actual physical withdrawal symptoms from caffeine that make them go drink caffeine to get rid of it is crazy too, no shame in it either too because it’s become accepted and acceptable :(
Its insane. I see people at work who pound 2-3 cans of shit garbage and are still "tired." When bang first came out i remember trying it and it was way too much caffeine for me, and my friends who drank energy drinks daily agreed. But now they have gotten used to it so they drink bang or anything else on the regular.

Look at any ad 30y+ ago and you will se women as promoters or just standing to it as an ad. This worked for decades and will continue working. With this CEO and his pathetic advertising (which works on masses) the company would have success easily even without any social network. Selling snake oil is old as capitalism itself.

The only way Bang could get out of this is to make more hype houses. That went amazing. Also they should discover supercaffeine. Sure others call it coke but it’s like potato tomato
Can't tell if it's for the sake of the joke or if it's genuine, but it's supposed to be either potato/potato or tomato/tomato as the point is about pronunciation.

He talks about how Monster has caused heart attacks but didn't talk about how Bang has 300 mg of caffeine while Monster has somewhere around 160 to 180 mg. Obviously Bang is more potentially dangerous for your heart in terms of caffeine dosage. I'm glad Charlie pointed this out in the video.

At one point in my first freshman semester of college, I grew severely addicted to bang energy trying to stay up and do essays. One day I drank 3 of them in the same day. I don't know why I did, but it was 900mg of caffeine (between the 3 cans). I have adhd already, but that day where I had that caffeine, I had the biggest boost of energy of my life. I went down to the campus rec center and ran on the treadmil and then I went back up to my dorm. I could not sleep for the next 2 days. I was so jacked that I forgot to eat the next day. By the time the boost finally wore off, I was left feeling empty, shaky, had literal psychosis
Something similar happened to me. I was working in an office and didn't drink coffee, coworker got me to try bang. Drank two of them in 5 hours one shift, was slightly stoned and hungover, w/ the last drink being around 4pm. Largest dose of caffeine id ever had x5. Was zooooming. But then I couldn't go to bed. Shaky, restless leg syndrome, and i remember telling myself i wouldnt ever drink another one again. II couldn't imagine drinking 3 of them in one day 😲
In college, I once drank two of them to stay up late and finish a painting for class. After I left the studio, I started to feel awful. I got one hour of sleep and woke up with a weird hangover. Given I also have ADHD and I'm only ~115lbs, drinking 600mg of caffeine was a very poor decision. I experienced much regret the next day.
This is emblematic of the lack of scientific literacy and scientific humbleness in America. People who don’t know enough about science have more confidence than people that do and throw around claims that sound legit without having the proper knowledge to back them up. You see this with people disliking GMOs which have no inherent problems and without which we’d never sustain our 7 billion person population. Just Google what Bananas looked like before GMOs, not a lot of fruit in there.
@@superfly2535 GMOs are higher in salicylates, oxylates and histimines which wreak havoc on our guts. Keep putting your faith in billion dollar institutions. 1/4 medications the FDA approves eventually gets recalled after hurting people and making profit. So it's dumb to put blind faith in it and shut down anyone who think it might be wrong again this time, which is what you're doing.
@@superfly2535 meh, i havent read the science of "super creatine". But its just a name for the chemical. If they created the chemical and patented it, they can name it whatever the fuck they want. They claim it's creatine with L-Leucine attached to it, which then breaks down into creatine and L-Leucine overtime (making the effect last longer). Apperently the monster study showed that this isnt true. I dont know, i dont trust either company. But there definietly are chemicals that break down to other chemicals in the body which then have a different effect than the original chemical. So it's entirely in the realm of possibilities. It just the word "super" that throws you people off. They should just have called it L-creatine or something instead.
My friends dad passed away from a mainly monster. He used to drink about 3-6 cans a day. It was his main source of consumption. He would have stacks of garbage bags full of monster. Took him roughly 6 years of continuous consumption before he died. But he had lots of health complications prior to from kidney stones and lots of dramatic changes in his heart rates.
Wow thats alot per day. I used to drink 2-3 per day but ive lessened mine to just one a day. 6 cans is almost the same amount of caffeine than 3 Bang energy drinks.
I'm so glad I'm organs cannot handle energy drinks and give me diarrhea because I know a lot of people who drink 3 cans a day of energy drinks at least. I have a friend who quit them now but he used to always shake all the time because of them
When my mum first called paramedics and it was discovered she had atrial fibrillation, one of the first things she was asked was if she’d had any energy drinks. She’s in her 60s, but apparently it had been such a common cause of those sorts of health issues in people. I think this might’ve been around when some extra caffeinated versions of energy drinks were being promoted too so maybe that was part of it, but it was made very clear to her that energy drinks were potentially quite dangerous. They didn’t just ask if she’d been drinking coffee or other caffeinated beverages; it was specifically energy drinks they’d asked about. People who drink multiple cans per day of that stuff worry me.
Way I see it is Bang and Reign are to get you through days after sleepless nights and you really should not be having more than one of those per day. Energy drinks are for when a coffee won't cut it, not used in place of coffee.
@@SirHusky654 I also think some people feel they can’t function without coffee or other caffeinated beverages because they’ve developed an addiction, and if they quit for long enough then they’d find they function just as well or even better without it. I feel that way especially about those who say they’re unpleasant to be around before caffeine. Or some people are unknowingly using caffeine to self-medicate conditions like ADHD or fatigue disorders. Many of which can contribute to people having more sleepless nights, so that can create unhealthy cycles. Did you know sleep apnoea increases risk of heart disease? To my knowledge the reasons for that aren’t known, but many who are exhausted throughout the day reach for the caffeine, as you point out. I do agree with you though that in moderation then, for healthy people, these beverages are fine and healthy. And I understand needing that caffeine kick after being up all night, though for me I’d likely have a Pepsi Max or a strong tea because I personally don’t drink either energy drinks or coffee (just not a fan of the taste or smell).

The issue isn’t the caffeine in the drink, which is why they hadn’t asked if she drinks lots of coffee or caffeine from other beverages. Caffeine isn’t a cause of AFIB and can be a protective factor however, all the shit they put in there to compound the “energy effects” is dodgy and not well understood.
I'm not surprised. I just liked them because I could drink them for the caffeine and not crash a few hours later. I never gave a shit about the creatine or any of the supplement claims. Less than a week ago I had what felt like a heart attack at work. I was 2/3rds of the way through a bang energy, recently switched from coffee to them. I would only drink one on days when I had work. I thought 300 mg caffeine and sugar free from bang would be healthier than the 900+ mg caffeine I had been drinking before I switched. The top left part of my chest seized up, my arm, neck and shoulder were in agonizing pain. I had slight nausea and it took about 40 minutes for the clutched fist in my chest to finally go away but before that I ended up blacking out for a moment while standing up. Was in the middle of a lunch rush and it took me a bit to realize my vision was wrong afterwards. Everything had a fish eye lense effect on it and my head was sluggish. Like if I turned my head it felt like my brain lagged behind. Dumped the bang out and haven't had any caffeine since. I'm 27 and focusing on my health now. Amusingly everyone says I look like shit/sad/not my "usual chipper self" now and keep asking if I'm okay lol
Drink lots of water. You are definitely dehydrated despite not thinking you are. Put a pinch of sea salt in a cup of water for minerals and electrolytes, drink at least 6 glasses a day. A glass is 8-10 ounces.
maybe it also has to do with caffeine from coffee is not the same as caffeine from an energy drink?? like coffee is a more pure, direct way to get caffeine versus the synthesized bullshit they put in energy drinks and sodas. Just a thought. Idk i'm no expect on the matter lol.

I won't say who, but I am a RM for a major US convenient store company. We've already reduced 75% of the Bang we carry on our shelves, and plan to completely remove it by the end of the year. As entertaining as this all has been, it's at it's end.
I work at an unspecified grocery chain on the west coast and I can confirm that at least one major regional distributor of Bang is fed up with their shit. Huge backstocks of Bang are being sold to discount retail chains to offload them.
When I was diagnosed with panic disorder I was warned against too much caffeine, the most I have on a daily basis is a cup of tea. Once when I was tired at work I threw caution to the wind and had a can of Rubicon Raw and my heart was fluttering. I felt so energetic but I kept pressing the same button at work for an hour straight. Never again.
I cut out almost all caffeine, and after adjusting from a pretty bad withdrawal crash I tend to feel a lot better nowadays, I can certainly recommend at least reducing caffeine.
I work for a Pepsi subsidiary that was distributing Bang for about two years. About a couple of months ago we dropped Bang in hopes of picking up Red Bull. That fell through and we wound up with Celcius and some energy drink called Ashoc. Now we are in a feud with Bang. Yay.
I used to drink Bang almost every day for a few years. I swore by the super-creatine too, I felt like I was high on life after I'd drink those things, but I did find stuff saying it's also fake. I couldn't tell if it was just other companies (particularly Monster aka Hansen Natural Corp) fabricating things (which was losing massive market share to Bang at the time)... so I always wondered. Anyway, I kicked caffeine during the Coof lock downs (unintentionally) and one day I drank half a bang a few months later and thought I was going to have panic attack.
Typically we actually experience similar effects to what is proposed if we actually believe it works! This is also true with medicine, more specifically the ones like pain killers, or antidepressants, which essentially make your body produce more dopamine. The super creatine obviously doesn't exist, but the belief in it actually causes your brain to produce more dopamine.

Now before I talk anymore I want to say not a professional and I'll basically just regurgitate the info in the study so if someone were to be like, "no actually it is this, not this," I am purely reading from the study, go flame me about my opinion part if you want to. The part where the results where the "exact opposite" happened, was specifically talking about dogs. As evident by the header and this line in the paragraph, "In both groups of dogs, the ventricular fibrillation threshold was reduced even further when caffeine was administered." This is only for the dogs as throughout the human section, it talks about how it has little to no effect either way. This is evident in the conclusion section of the human section when it is said, "some data today suggest that caffeine effects are present, but the prevailing evidence shows no increase in arrhythmia." In other words, caffeine does not have an effect on arrhythmia. It sucks that he lied but I don't think it's a big deal as in the article it even talks about how 94 percent of doctors recommended cutting back caffeine for palpitation effected persons. So, I don't really blame Charlie for not accurately presenting facts on something that doesn't actually have any bearing either way and to "disprove" one part. Again, if you start looking at other studies and tell me I'm wrong go ahead because I wouldn't be surprised.

Creatine monohydrate doesn't dissolve that well in water but I think it's more important that it dissolves better in your body. Also 300mg of caffeine is the same as 2 scoops of pre workout.
