Wow another quality video 🎣 Beautiful perch. My mate had a 3lb perch the other day I had one last year. A 4lb perch is a different league so fingers crossed🎣 Your new mission is a 5lb fish🤞 Tight lines bud and 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
Awesome perch man 4lb plus is a hell of fish. I just recently lost a 4lb drop shotting a gunki worm, I felt a sick as a pig when the hook just pulled before I could get the net. But at least I know they are there now 🎣 Going to try the ched rig next not used it yet. Thanks for a great video.
Nice fish! Here in Ukraine we are using different technique with cheb-rig as you say. It's always must be extra fast type of rod with solid tip for extra sensitivity.
Ha cheers Dom! Man I know it's bloody tough down here as well. There are a few areas where it's possible but they are few and far between hence why I stick to canal systems! Really want some decent river time before the close 🤞 hope you're good man 👊🙌
Perch are getting bigger and bigger over here again. 4s aren't that common but there's enough of them in the rivers that now hold crayfish for sure. The river severn is doing some huge perch on the quiet.
Hi Colin I use an 8 strand braid between 12-16lb depending on what I can get my hands on and then an 6-10lb Fluro leader again depending on the existence of jacks! The braid on the reel at the moment is called HTO nebula in 16lb 👊🙌
Cheers Julian I was over the moon with her. It's immensely powerful for a finesse rod. It's capabilities are perfect for this type of fishing! Light and able to cast 0.7gr-7gr but with enough backbone to steer a big chub or perch away from that underslung bank snag! Don't get me wrong it's a finesse rod so the powerful bit is in that context. Hope youre well mate 👊🙌
I’ve just found your channel & watched most of the vids. I have an Abu Garcia black max baitcaster reel which is good for spinning but I wanna get into the ned rig stuff. Question is is this reel good enough? Ps I will be getting stuff from todber as it’s local to me
Hi Mark! I hope you are well mate. Thanks for watching I really appreciate it! I haven't used the black max before but I would defo suggest giving a 1/10oz Ned rig with a TRD attached and see how you get on before purchasing anything else. But if it doesn't you will need to get a slightly more specialist finesse baitcaster like the Roxani BF8 or more of a BFS reel capable of casting down to 1.5gr like the Alde. Mark at Todber will 100% be able to advise you, as you know they are excellent in there! Let me know how you get on mate! 👊
Perch Finder TV looking through my kit I think the reel is fine but the rod is too heavy (Abu vigilante 5-20g). Been looking at a Major Craft BENKEI BIC-652UL/BF that todber sell. Get that & all the zman hooks n lures there & give it a go probably there as I know most of their lakes got decent perch in em
Hi Steve! Thanks mate I really appreciate it! It's the only way they do it on the continent so that's why it's catching on and it's also the way fish are measured in comps so that's where it comes from. I prefer a weight but I always measure the big ones as well as it's another measure to try and better with a PB for both!! 🎣👊
Perch Finder TV will do! Amazing fish from a canal. I’ve been fishing canals since 2012 and had loads of 2’s but yet to have a 3. Maybe the Aldebaron will bring me luck 🤣 Keep up the good work 👍🏻
