Best known as the sardonic Dr. Gregory House on the medical drama “House,” English actor Hugh Laurie is now taking on a very different role as an international arms dealer in the TV miniseries “The Night Manager.” He said he was three chapters into the 1993 John le Carre novel on which it was based when he decided it had to be put on screen. Of Dr. House, he says, “I love the character and always will.”

Hugh Laurie is an amazing actor. But don't forget the producers and writers for the show. The scenes they set up, the dynamics between the characters, everything! House is definitely an all-time top 10 show, and it was because everyone involved was at the top of their game. Including the other actors (Wilson!!).

House is just one of those roles that has a life of it's own. I mean, I KNOW that Hugh Laurie plays House, but when I see interviews with him I can't quite wrap my head around it. Part of that is probably because of the accent, but on the other hand I don't have the same reaction when I see interviews with Andrew Lincoln who plays Rick in The walking dead. House is such a colorful character and Laurie's portrayal of him is just so convincing. Remarkable performance throughout the whole series.

Same here. I feel like most actors usually act the way they usually do. Look at Morgan Freeman for example. He is always Freeman. He has a different backstory, different motives. But the way he moves, talks etc is Freeman. Laurie and House aren't that way. House is always quick, witty and to an audience, funny. Laurie isn't, at least not in that concentration. They behave very much differently.

Easify It might be an infection. However, it doesn't mean Im wrong. Certain infections found only in Brazil (where the patient recently traveled according to his plane tickets Chase found in his house) target brain cells and cause exactly the same symptoms as MS. So its either MS or a brain infection. Either way, we have to do a CT!

I've seen many high rated, award winning TV shows but none quite like House MD. It is one of the greatest tv series imo, when you reflect on the series as a whole you will notice the extent to which the characters and the interrelationships between them develop throughout each season and then by the end you realise how much you have invested in these characters.

It's so weird to see him that way, they're like two different people. Laurie gave him such life that he seems like his own person, and in a way he IS his own person. He's such an amazing actor, I will never get sick of watching House.

I've always loved House, and over the last two years I've become very ill. I get insane amounts of back and abdominal pain, so much so that I have to walk with a cane sometimes. I also take a lot of Vicodin at the peaks, kind of ironic that it turned out this way

Rewatched all the House seasons because I partially watched them as a kid and for some reason remembered how interesting it was at 30. Cried basically the whole of the last episode. As an INFJ found myself rooting for House till the end. No doubt one of the best series I've watched. Can't wait to watch The Night Manager.

I love House, the show was exciting, sad, funny, thrilling and heart breaking. In my 69 years no television show has hit me hard emotionally as House did. I'm not a doctor by no means but I empathize with House's character, I have lived with a leg injury which has given me a life time of canes and occasionally a wheel chair but fortunately now just the cane. When you're crippled you don't have much of an opportunity to have a wife and family, at least I didn't. Spending life with a constant pain and seclusion can make you bitter as much as you try not to be that way. The ending of House was extremely difficult to take, I was depressed for weeks after but I'm glad I watched the show, it will go down as the best television program in my life. Thank you Hugh Laurie, I wish you a happy and healthy life.

Remi It left off with Wilson dying. He was asked if they would ever do a continuity of House and Hugh, despite loving House, he doesn't want actually continue playing him. Maybe he would do a movie, but he has a career that he loves more already. To Hugh, music > acting.

Like they see a woman collapse off a bus bench or something snowballing from there. Imagine if they just happened to bump into Cuddy. Original trio. May foreman be a bridge? He knows house is alive. Everyone close to house will find out. FF to after Wilson's death ramifications if house turns himself in. Maybe Wilson says spending 30+ years on the run isn't desirable. A house movie can be written. The motorcycle scene can be 1 month, 3 months or 5 months into house and Wilson's trip. Alternatively, a plan hiccup within Wilson's bucketlist list. I'm done

I wish there was a way to bring back HOUSE. After the show stopped airing,then there have been countless copy-cat doctors and other characters(detectives etc..),but none have come close to the charm,wit,intelligence,humor of House's character and the pure brilliance of the show. Every character fit in perfectly and the medical mysteries were head-scratching. From week to week i was anxious to watch a new episode. I guess alot of people were think that since Chase took over after House faked his own death,then that would mean Chase would get his own show ? Then there were rumors that another network would pick it up ? Nope. HOUSE will always be #1 as far as medical shows go to me and HOUSE will always be the most brilliant tv medical dr as well in my opinion. Glad i got every episode on Blu Ray...Ahhh memories

The amazing thing is that he could've made House sound like absolutely anything since he doesn't naturally have an American accent, and he came up with something so perfect and iconic everyone just assumed it was his natural speaking voice. True genius
