I think Hugh Laurie is great for his 'cuteness' and those lovely blue eyes of his but I'd choose Alan Rickman for his overwhelming intensity and fantastic voice.
Been looking at film clips of Alan since his passing on 1/14/16, especially Sense & Sensibility and discovered Hugh Laurie in some scenes, but not with Alan as I recall. Hugh Grant is eye-candy in this movie, but Alan is my true heartthrob. Rest in peace, Prince Alan.
cookie or cake...I'd savor both..but I've always been a Rickman fan from way back, when I heard he was going to play Snape..I couldn't believe it! It was like a dream come true that he be casted as the beloved Snape..one of my favorites of all time..icing on the cake indeed! Great song choice!!!!!!

The song "Feelin' Good" is by Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse from their 1965 musical STOP THE WORLD--I WANT TO GET OFF. A whole LOT of great singers have sung it. As far as choosing goes--I love them both. Intelligent, literate Brits with humor are pretty irresistable to me.

@BakuraSR45 Hey, you forgot something - Alan Rickman - Artist (calligraphy, watercolors), successful graphic designer, actor in dramas - Rasputin (best actor emmy and golden globe), Sense And Sensibility, Something The Lord Made, etc. Comedies - Dogma, Galaxy Quest, Nobel Son, etc., film and stage director, decent singing voice, GREAT speaking voice, compassionate (gives to and works for charity), intelligent, handsome. In short - Alan FTW!!! (Nothing against Hugh though. I like him too but...)

Ok Hugh Laurie is a brilliant actor, very good looking and all plus he has those amazing looking blue eyes but still I would take Alan Rickman without a second though!!!! Alan Rickman is a pure delight for all our senses (exept touch maybe!)
My mom would go for Hugh Laurie, but as for me? - ALAN RICKMAN always and eternal!! Alan doesn't even have to say anything to make the girls squee. He is the greatest as Severus Snape. Lotz of points to J.K. Rowling for picking Alan Rickman to play Snape - I wouldn't have picked a better choice for that roll.
If these two were in a film together, I might just spontaneously combust. I'm nearly at that stage already with the prospect that Colin Firth and Alan Rickman are both in Gambit, due for release early next year. OH hell no. I've just burnt up.
