I'm extremely late, but since I'm writing a sort of thesis on Hugo the reason why there's no cutscenes was most likely because they ran out of money. The owner of ITE, Ivan, had left his company to management around 1998 since he was going to America, and management had artificially inflated the price of the company without actually making any money or ever selling it, and because Ivan lived so far away they missed out on the company being bought for 80 million, so the company crashed financially around the 2000s. (yes only two years later.) Ivan had to take a deal with Olicom which led to them being "co-owners" but instead they actually just did shit to the brand that made it financially worse and then in 2002 bought Ivan out of the company entirely since they "didn't agree". That was in 2001, so they were struggling a lot when it came to 2004. I'm going to write a bit about Canon Cruise since it's newsletter release was the last time Hugo had any "major" search results in Denmark. (100 searches... Which is better than what's afterwards) so thanks for this video lol

Wow that was unexpected lol It's still one of my favorite Hugo games though, I mean yeah it's flawed, but I still love it. Agent Hugo has some sailing gameplay too, but it's way more fun to play, I can guarantee that.

I had this game as a kid, but I never finished it. I always thought it was because the game was in english so I didn't know what to do, but after watching this video I think I could've just gotten too bored to finish it.

After Hugo it should be time for you to do the whole Moorhuhn franchise which is even more obscure but still ongoing haha XD

Playing on an emulator at 400% speed (100 fps) and using savestates, the game actually feels playable and less sluggish

Good thing I got into Hugo franchise through PC Hugos, for they introduced the characters a tad better (Jungle Island to name one)

I think the fact that he is knocking on the "screen" is a thing from the Tv show, Eleva2ren, that the first Hugo game was based on

bro just played Agent Hugo Roborumble again (on PC), and to my very surprise, the game is fun! It has some bigger flaws but I didn't expect it to be that playable

damn that name pronunciations and cringy joke, tbh black diamond fever had better voice acting imo, and even great cutscenes, cant wait for Agent Hugo! I played that game a really really long time ago on PC and I was not that impressed tbh
