Hula Hālau ʻO Kamuela (WAHINE) 

This halau always does a fabulous performance. I wish I could have stayed up to watch all 28 performances. I watched the first 14, but after midnight I fade away and there is a 3 hour time difference between Hawaii and California. Anapau, for those who are not hula dancers, is a hula Ma'i for the last queen's reproductive prowess. The Hawaiians celebrate procreation.

That 'ami they do going down lower and lower is very impressive. It's also very related to what this ma'i is about. Hawaiians were very sexual and it was communicated in their hula as well as chants.
