That is a wonderful video - and the start, where the track no longer exists, going through the pub, through sheds and gardens, is genious! Thank you for sharing it with us!
1:23-1:24 One for the local bus nuts, that’s Stagecoach’s Foster Street depot well under construction. Definitely puts this in the mid-90s, or at least before September ‘96.
Loved it!! We walked the first half mile or so to the Tesco roundabout today. It was so evocative of times past and one is angered by the dogma driven folly of the Tories in the Sixties. So pleased at the ongoing improvements at charming Hornsea.
tbf, the railways were a woeful money pit at the time. i doubt that railway would make any money today. that said, many tracks were pulled up in places that now need such infrastructure.
That's Hornsea station on the left, at 4:13 I think. It has since been restord and is a Grade II listed building. www.disused-stations.org.uk/h/hornsea_town/ Great video but I don't know why it went beyond Hornsea station and into the sea !
