Saw your reaction on Tiger 3 trailer then checked your channel and now I'm really surprised to see that you guys reacted to this song. Wow, even indians nowadays don't react to these old classics but you guys did. Salman Khan in his starting of his career did mostly romantic movies only but then he gotten into action zone. He was flamboyant character of 90's or even till 2000 decade. Would recommend you to watch this movie also as it was d biggest blockbuster nd it's record for highest footfallls are still unbroken. Do react to his debut movie Maine Pyar Kiya song "Kahe to se sajna".It will give you more info about our culture.
I already watched and reviewed both HAHK and MAINE PYAR KIYA :) I showed Deniz (who hasn't seen the movies) all of the songs from HAHK (only one missing) and next year I will show him all the songs from MAINE PYAR KIYA.
I wonder what draws you to these HUM AAPKE HAI KAUN songs... Because they are so deeply rooted in Indian culture, Indian customs, Old Indian Relationships... Nowadays even the young Indians have forgotten the Indian Traditions...make fun of it... They criticise older ways of living, old Indian traditions in many films and many web series. And here you two are...who like it...Watch one after another. I just wonder how you like them. But yes I am happy about it of course. I always feel sad about how this GLOBALISATION has changed India. The last 20 years have brought a drastic change in Indian society. From the late 90s till now... when I look back, I always think that I had never thought that everything would change so much in these years... Anyways.... I moved away from the subject so much...Sorry for that...
I think we are just coming from a very different direction... For us it's more a fascinating window into another country and culture. And since we are very interested in movies (and movie music), it's also just great to discover and explore these fantastic artists, which we didn't even know about a few years ago. And then of course, the music and the singing is just really wonderful.
I mean duh they ridicule some old stuff, every generation does it. While it's important to be knowledgable about your history and culture we shouldn't hold them in such a pedestal that we aren't able to break away from the regressive parts of it. People still do these things and customs but not liking something in movies is a different thing. Tastes change. While we can urge the newer generations to take an interest in those traditions and culture, we should also take off the rose-tinted glasses sometimes.
