I'm from the Navajo Nation approximately 2006 my cousin was murdered on westside Albuquerque. What is so odd was her t-shirt clearly indicated that she was from the Navajo Reservation (it was a Just Move It T-shirt) But the investigators labeled her as African American. And her body was dismembered. She had her identification with her clothes, but unfortunately she was labeled as Jane Doe until 2011. My murdered cousin was not a prostitute she was just a normal law abiding citizen, possibly she was at the wrong place wrong time. I was the one to recognize that t-shirt when the photo of the t-shirt was featured on Gallup independent and I told her aunt. DNA confirm that the victim was my cousin. So many human remains have been found in westside Albuquerque. I've lived and worked in Albuquerque for years and I always saw news about another remains found. Maybe there are several serial killers on the loose.

This is a misleading headline because it can give the impression that the bones were all found recently not over three decades as described in the video.
This doesn't even include the 11 West Mesa victims that are still unsolved. Its a crossroads out of Mexico and into California and north to Colorado. Miles of Deserts off the highways makes it easy to dump bodies and be on to the next state.
Not unusual I here in Australia went off a high way and found a full set of human bones 🦴 very sun bleached so been out for a long time dental 🦷 records is of a missing woman from 1963
If it is known that bodies are frequently dumped in these places why arnt cameras set up. Yes it would cost a lot to erect cameras on poles but Im sure many would contribute to know that there is some sort of security. How many undiscoverd bodies remain there still, would probably amount to a lot of missing person cases no doubt & would solve a lot of those cases. There is so much modern & futuristic technology these days it really baffles me as to why the obvious to me is seemingly not obvious to the government/police etc. Even stop checks at the beginning of the road to check inside of vehicles would be a deterent.. its the same as farmers who dont fence their animals in & then moan about other animals getting to them! Common sense is no longer common!
Because they don't want to stop the killings, they just want to study it. They know the demographics of woman being killed, they know the demographic of who is doing the killing, and it's no one one white society values or cares about so it doesn't really matter to the press or officials. They know natives, Latinos and woman of color are targeted, they know at risk youth is targeted, they just don't care because it doesn't match Gabby Petitos description. If you don't have any extraordinary societal ties they're labeled drug abusers, prostitutes, thieves and criminals, even if there's no evidence they broke the law because it makes it easier for people to over look the fact that they have murders living amongst them.
I understand the concept of cameras, but if we do that we would start looking like China, where everything is monitor. In a way that sounds like something we need, but giving the government that much control, it's a breach to our constitution and privacy. I agree we need a tougher law on crime, but not unless we go communist, setting up cameras to spy on citizens is not going to happen, and also illegal.

My son and I ride in that same area, north of I40 and 98th and always stop for the smells of deadness out there. Only found dead animals but I can only imagine what else is out there.
I wish that news stations and law enforcement would result drill it in to families with missing family members and those with cold cases just how important and helpful it would be for a person on each side of the family, or a full blooded sibling to get one of these Genealogy studies done and check the box to share info. You never know when it counts be help solve your case!! This is REALLY IMPORTANT AND VALUABLE INFO FOR THEM TO HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF!!
What do you mean how do we do that? The police and Investigators never cared once about a missing person and that's the problem they don't care to be helpful or give advice
I left genetic research almost 10 years ago. We looked for genetic and epigenetic causes of autism, prader willi, schizophrenia, bipolar, etc. I loved the work but I left due to other factors. I would love to do genetic genealogy. It's not going to happen (other life things) but it would be pretty awesome.
Did you know that there are ways I bet you can help from home in your spare time. There are MANY organizations doing so. You should research them and contact them. There's ALWAYS more help needed. And you have experience!!

Hey remains were discovered in 1994 & they estimate she had been there about a year. As horrible as confirming a murder &/or death of loved one I pray this gives her loved ones peace & possibly tie someone to her murder.

This could be the skeleton of a woman from Colorado cold case named Bonnie Baker. The police think her boyfriend Nano Perez killed her and dumped her body in a state near Colorado.
I wander if they couldn't go on and take DNA from family members who reported a family member missing, take the DNA and store it in a system like CODIS and have it already in a system so when they find Jane does and jon does it will be a lot quicker to identify them
Cold cases are normally fully solved by first identifying the person(s). It's why they are calling on the public for anyone who may know her to help with DNA to create a family tree. Once cause if death is determined when possible & they are positively identified. They're able to move on to making connections that aim to identify the murder.
Don't worry everyone " LIZ" is on the case, she is totally competent and their best investigator, she is totally not just someone they want to get out of the way by giving her busy work
Interesting information thank you, but those bones in the thumbnail look like they've been forever. There's even some mummies that are hundreds of years old that have more remains intact.
Driving thru NM especially before and after ABQ you will go hours without seeing any major traffic. The occasional semi...but I can see someone dumping a body easily. Scary.....I went 4 wheeling near Elephant Butte, NM.....when I realized if I get hurt I'm screwed....
I use to live on the west side and when I was younger I was walking home and two older Mexican man in a white older model van wer asking if I wanted some candy my sister knew what they were up to

New Mexico seems like one big dumping ground. To think, all the killer/s had to do was throw the body farther, and the crew would never have found her. All the monsters need to do is go a little farther from the road.

Coyotes take care of it for the most part and if the bodies are in shallow graves it's just like a dog digging up something only it's like 8 Coyotes and then the parts get scattered. There's a lot of homelessness as well and wouldn't be surprised if some of the remains out here are over doses/suicides.

I believe with all the ancestry dna B's is scary. The fine print says they now own that sequence and honestly I believe COVID was a result of gene discovery ..... They don't really advertise anymore....
