There's a cleverly disguised pipe against the wall that diverts some of the coffee away so he doesn't have to chug the whole thing. But yes, what a great machine!

Joseph has finally outdone the level of complexity of the contraptions from Wallace and Grommit. I can only hope that the coffee part was reliable enough to where he didn't need to shoot the scene too many times :P
