I really like the design of your frame! I think the utilization of aluminum extrusion is really smart, and the specific layout is quite compact. What made you decide to go for the x8 instead of Octo 8?
You will need a lot of money to buy the motors, motor controllers and batteries. Each motor on this drone costs around 300 bucks so thats 2400 bucks just for the motors and i assume that the motor controllers will cost around 2000 bucks and another 2000 bucks for the batteries. Its my dream to build a manned quad and i have been saving money to build one for a couple years, hopefuly soon i will build one
@@electrified9297 Thank you for the information. I am an electrical engineer and have already built an eLectric DeLorean. How do I choose the motors, propellers, controllers and esu?
@@daviddelman9905 The motors should produce thrust at least half of the weight of the manned drone including your weight. My choice is the Turnigy rotomax 150cc bruhsless motor which generates 50 kilogrammes of thrust. Your choice of the propellers and controllers depends on the motor you are going to use. You can do some research online and find better information about it. Also I'm an electrical engineering student and would like to hear more about your Electric DeLorean. Did you build it with a real DeLorean?
