This pragmatic and scientific approach aims to improve patient safety and satisfaction, reduce clinician burnout, boost process efficiency, and improve quality and reliability-while reducing costs.
Through applied research, usability, safety advisement, and education, the MedStar Health National Center for Human Factors is dedicated to the scientific study of how humans think, work, and interact within the healthcare environment and how we can apply these principles to making patient care safer with better outcomes.
