Gerald Albright performs 'Human Nature' at The 5th Annual Jazz Safari Uganda 2012 @BlackRootsAcademyOfSoul Production #MusicUnitesHumanity #MusicSafari4PalliativeCare
The torch has been passed from King Curtis to Jimmy Castor to Grover Washington, Jr. to Ronnie Laws and, at this penning, to the able-bodied, multi-instrumentslist Mr. Gerald Albright who takes up the musical cudgel and offers up Contemporary Organic Real Jazz excellence which is second to none. Gerald is at his "best" during these en vivo performances as oppose to his studio endeavors in which editing is made ad nauseum. Other live performances by Gerald do tell the story: " 'Round Midnight", "Georgia On My Mind", "Wine Light", John Coltrane's "Impressions" (Straight Ahead), "I Feel Good" ... Nelson Rangel and Jeanette Harris also have done their thing with Jackson's "Human Nature" - the former, a Contemporary Organic Real Jazz endeavor; the latter, an excellent Pop performance. Remember that Miles Davis nicely did an "electric", Soft Rock version of the song. Go, 'Rald!
Renato Bizu Maker
