I thought i was the only one who went through that kind of comedown experience haha. The bit where they try to speak but cant get the words out is so fucking real haha. When it comes to E the best thing to do is avoid after parties and head home as soon as you realise youre coming down and still mentally all in one piece. Sleeping tablets or Xanax are your only friends on a comedown.

Aside from being brilliantly funnily with easily remembered quotes, the one thing that makes Human Traffic an excellent movie, is that it was a true and realistic representation of what it was like to go on the Sessh ' after 5 days of the misery we call life. It was how we escaped from the bullshit, and allowed us to experience great happiness and joy, dance to our hearts content without caring how bad you danced, because nobody else cared either. It opened you up to meeting new, like minded people. This movie reminds anyone who has lived this life what it was like and how happy they were.
It captures that escape from the monotony perfectly, even if you were never out raving in the warehouses during the 90's. I think it's a powerful thing to let go of inhibitions and see how easily you can connect and experience joy with others before the cold light of day creeps around and you have to go back to your old routines.
I always made sure I had a way of getting home, and something put by to keep me up til I got home. That way I could just get stoned and come down in peace. Good times man ;)
Given this a bump cause me and a mate went over an old story. My guy bumped into Danny in a nightclub in Glasgow years back and was rubber ducked and goes "fucking star wars mate...fucking star wars".....anyway Danny gave him the biggest knob end look you can imagine. Was fucking priceless!
This whole scene is so well done.. its the same kinda bollox you chat when ya mashed on jack and jills.. great acting.. theres no way he could've acted like that without havin done E at some point in his life.. classic film
This can only be a recounting of personal experience, as it's so beautifully fucking accurate, in how minor revelations turn into events that could alter the course of history.....errrrrr...maybe not. But fuckin' 'ell.....
This the the stand out part of the film for me. Its so true to life when you're off you head talking bollox that you think actually means something, even down to the part where he's trying to say something meaningful but cant get it out.

if the E is pure u can fall asleep before the comedown. You won't want to - so get a friend (preferably who isn't on it) to make you go to bed, wake up the next day bright and awake with no comedown
I feel like I've seen this movie, but I have no recollection of it. Do I feel like I've seen it because I lived it? Or did I watch it in an altered state of consciousness and as a result haven't got a clue what happened? hm

I was about the same age John Simm was in this film. Hard to believe in 10 years you go from partying and carefree to be "boring", married, with kids. I heard the music from that era now and it's like I visited another world.
Don't know his name but he plays Jeff in Coupling, maybe that's where you know him from. Also want to say that this is one of the most realistic XTC/Club scene related movies I ever saw. The come down is one of the most important reasons why I gave op XTC. Had amazing times though.
@zeberdee123 maybe I worded the original statement wrong. I didn't mean there isn't a comedown what I meant was sleep through it. I don't claim to be an expert, but this worked for me. I know that the comedown will be worse as you take more but maybe give it a try

i swear danny dyers like a different person in this film and charlie bright compared to newer 1s. in all his new ones hes typecast, but his acting in this is....fucking amazing. unless of course hes actually whizzing here haha!
