It’s obvious…. All these greedy builders etc. are building wherever they can. It’s beyond sad!!! There are plenty of existing properties that should be utilized. I hope something is done to shrink their pockets SOON!
We live in a housing community in Hillsborough. My house backs up to a wooded swamp, with tons of wild life ! I have some photos of a gorgeous bobcat that roams our swamp from time to time. Every once in a while we'll see a couple of small Florida deer in the back yard. The neighbors pond has a family of otters, we see once in a while, and of course a gator or two. We have bird feeders but that's it. You leave them be, they'll leave you be. Just set up yer cameras in the back yard !
***The question is, what is the state wildlife department FWC doing? NOTHING. Thanks to the new construction of houses, apartments and warehouses we will continue to see more homeless wildlife. They no longer have their habitat, since humans destroyed it to make more homes and warehouses. Little by little this state is becoming the new California. And home insurance is sky-high in price***
The bears aren't encroaching into the human environment, humans are encroaching into THEIR environment! The animals are not happy about losing their homes. Imagine coming home and finding a family of bears has bulldoes it and is now living there and you have to leave because [Growl growl. Roar! Growl roar roar, Growl?]. It's a sold argument and will hold up in [Caw!] Not much can be done at that point.
Florida needs to stop building unaffordable structures anyhow. It’s an incredibly expensive state to live in, and there’s little to no consideration how development effects the wildlife around us. Not to mention all the trees being destroyed amongst building projects. Trees only provide us oxygen no big deal. Ridiculous!!
because the urban sprawl is out of control///stop building new parkways and stopping letting developers do whatever they want...rein in the urban sprawl!!!
Yet no1 does anything to stop over population and give them room, we have been inviting more and more of their territories.. after covid fl is way too hectic 😠
