That's very true. If we were to make a colony on different planet the very first order of business would be to make self sustainable domes that would replicate Earth in every way. We wouldn't even try to live in the natural enviroment of said planet.
@@lad4830 I would like to extend that to past history. Humans have managed to shackle nature into our will. We have evolved crops to be the most plentiful to our own bodies and our industries. We have made weapons UNIMAGINABLE to any animal around us. Our brains work in ways that we don't fully understand. We workout in order to fight nature the best we can. We have shot 450 tons of steel and tungsten to a rock orbiting our own rock. We have made it to the furthest reaches of the solar system. Survived EVERY extinction-level event we have encountered. We are a force of (artificial) nature.
One of my favorite theories is that earth is actually classified as an extremely dangerous death world meaning that humans evolved on a planet considered uninhabitable by alien standards, part of it is that due to earth actually having very strong gravity we might be considered “heavy worlders” which means we might be way stronger than aliens who evolved on lighter planets In other words: by alien standards we’re basically space orcs
I'd imagine space travel would be a lot easier when there's no an effing strong gravity force pulling your spaceship down. Which means even our rockets would be a lot stronger (thouch much cruder) than theirs. A mount fit for a king.
