We consider Shiva to actually be in existence whereas Greek and Roman god's have been named by there own people as "MYTHS". Making a god like Shiva lose a fight in an anime is same as making a joke about someone's race or color or gender etc. Heck you can even make fun of our color race and accent and we would laugh it off but mockery of our god in any way usually disappoints us.

@@speqe In Greek mythology, 'immortal' usually just means 'not getting older and rully hard to kill'. Heracles was killed by his WIFE because someone had (falsely) convinced her he was unfaithful so she exposed him to the blood of the hydra from his previous labour which poisoned him. Zeus kills Asclepius and also killed his father. And more to the point the gods all ACT like they can be killed... they never just blithely let people attack them, no matter how powerful they are, and often conspire to hurt and kill each other. I can't think of anything that was completely immune to being harmed.
