Brand new Humax 4tune PVR keeps locking up and freezing every few days. Exact same problem with replacement unit. This video shows my settings every time I do a Factory Reset. Not a good product at all - so far, based on my experience. Hopefully Humax can fix it.

My second humax (4 Tuner one. 1000t ) failed after getting a repair done for a motherboard issue under warranty 2 years later Won’t turn on light shows at front but won’t boot (seems to be a common problem looking at the web comments) Approx cost to repair at least 220 plus my cost of shipping Sydney to Melbourne. Cannot recommend or trust product and won’t get repaired.

My settings. Product fails every time - My primary use is buffer record and rewind buffer on demand. Therefore I disable power off settings as I want unit on all the time. Factory Reset 0000 Set Location - Queensland Network LAN Cable - Next Software Current - No Upgrade Available Channel Search - Complete Power Saving Standby - Change to Off General Settings - No Change Network Settings - No Change PVR Settings Recording Options - End Padding Time - 10 min Playback Options - Skip Forward Time - 30 secs System Settings Power Management - Power Down - Off (I want unit to stay on) Interactive TV Service - HbbTV - On

My Humax 7500T has the same problem. I have to hard reboot it to stop it recording. Won't respond to remote or panel commands. Usually happens while dual recording after watching a recorded program. Humax support is useless now. Used to be quite good. Their advice? Press the stop button on the remote to stop the recording! What a joke. I think their support has been subcontracted to China or somewhere. Won't buy another one.
