LLI by a lot. They are balanced between themselves and have a good tonal core. Everyone in the band knows the role they have within the piece being played. HUMB sound s like they're fighting between sections. The tone is very shaky and some of the songs sound like they have conflicting goals. The music doesn't go anywhere.

Nothing controlled about HUMB... LLI has a way better sound than them... Sections not battling each other, trumpets not over shooting, no hanging over, etc.... HUMB tubas nice tho, no lie.... Stop being biased and open your ears.

Now last time of course they did get the L but this time they had tempo problems, screeching notes, wrong notes, not finishing phrases (tubas in particular), balancing issues, and mashed up bottom parts, now they were a lil louder but I feel they loss..now if they sounded like they did in Jackson then maybe yea but nawl I can't agree...now HUMB had ppl hanging over duh, but they were far more balanced from what I heard, and by far way cleaner than them this time because LLI was just cranking they hearts out and weren't worry about each other (individualism problems)....the section I can vouch for is the bones every other section was just playing they ass off with no decorum and I was there to witness in person now this video actually took away some FCK ups from both I mean they sucked that hoe to be at they own house....when they just left Mississippi smashing but whatever you say dude and nice of you go assuming me being biased lol...just calling it like I see it 💯💯
Actually LLI only had about 6-7 Jukes and a total of about 15 old heads. What you're hearing is still majority highschoolers. We just had a more mature sound that we were lacking last year.
Seems like someone forgot to teach they trumpet section the fundamentals of producing a good sound!!! Too much focus on background and no where near enough melody!!! Please let this not be a depiction of the future, for the Ocean of Soul!!!
1. some of those trumpet players are middle and high school. 2. where in anything ABOUT HUMB do you the seal of Texas Southern University? where? This is something people and kids are doing for the summer in a city where crime and HISD killed wat USED TO BE. The Ocean will be fine.
Y'all had TxSU players... This damn near TxSU summer practice, then y'all got fuckin Bam, he's like Glen.. LLI is 85%-90% High School, but HUMB is 90% TxSU.
Cody Cannon 😐😑size does not compete in this for example in 01 southern had only 175 students and they played up against giants such as famu which had 400+ students and su still matched the sound strength of famu if not louder so when people bring up size comparison I don't take that as a excuse

I know these ppl I'm apart of D9 and Humb since 2010 .... I know for a fact ain't no 10 or 11 ppl that play for txsu on this clip hell I'm on the clip but I play trumpet....it's at least 6 that either March now or don't anymore #facts #LadyD =)
One thing i can say is that LLI won this one hands down. HUMB has no balance. too many mellos and baritones and not enough trombones. they're way too thin.
I enjoyed both bands slot of power from both but to be perfectly honest lli got it cuz they were cleaner and u can hear dat humb was tired good battle none the less n I loved every minute of it.

LLI was blowing but then ass shit. People compare yall to Southern. Granted yall blowing but that shit is thin ass hell any nand director will let you. Yall be caught up on all the blowing and shit and people can't get over the fact a very diffrent H.U.M.B from Jackson showed up this day. And for the record please stop calling H.U.M.B TxSU, we are not. If I actually placed the schools by each section and school I promise you half of the section is not even from TxSU. yall seem to forget about P.V. S.U. Jstate and other players besides TxSU. But I assume u kids know what your talking about. Oh for the record if H.U.M.B is TxSU summer band what happens to TxSU in the fall when they small???? Just saying I marched P.V. 2005 to 2009 and was section leader in the B.O.X. I can assure I know what I'm talking about. Square business.
