I watch these videos all the time and there’s one thing that’s consistent and in every video that none of these people ever speak to these birds while they’re handling them using a soft soothing voice when they’re fearful like that goes a long ways I really wish you’d consider that
what an absolutely fantastic video. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. Thank you also for the wonderful care you take with these beautiful birds.
Great video. I especially liked the explanation of distinguishing males from females. I knew about the overall size and foot diameter, but not the info about the beak.
That's what you call Great humans that I wish we had more in the world but every1 makes a difference all we can do is help @pray everyday some 1 else will get the spirit of helping animals
I always cringe when they lower the nestlings to the ground. There is well enough room in most raptor nests for banding which means that lowering the chicks is unnecessary stress for them (and the parents as well if they happen to be there).
@@gregthegroove Fair, I am not aware how aggressive bald eagles in that particular area could be; Personal experience with a White tailed eagles would suggest them to avoid attacking humans mostly.
Quit cringing, whining and crying about it and grow a pair of ballz. The eagles survive, and get over the ordeal. the stress is necessary for the survival of future eagle generations.
I've never heard them make that sound. They usually make a lot of squeeeeing noises. That was a great video, but I don't think they enjoyed it as much. haha
Very large babies for two months old! Wow, what a wonderful experience to witness. Their wingspan is already incredible. Too bad they aren't eating more FISH! nasty lice
Feather lice infestation can be dangerous, especially if the birds are juvies. Some species of feather lice are bloodsuckers, causing the birds to loose a lot of blood, can cause anemia and even death. You saying "feather lice is okay" well you're WRONG. Despite banding for 2 decades you don't seem to know a whole lot. You should have bird lice spray with you when banding.
