Hey Matthew, nice video. I picked up an 05 about a month ago for $5,500 from a private party. The mileage was high, but it was a one owner, in good shape. I've had to replace the actuators and repair a small oil leak. I love it! I've always wanted one. It is not my daily driver so I'm not worried about the gas mileage.
you lvcky fvck, unreal price. congrats. 100%..im gonna end up paying around $15-20K tho' ..in that price range, there's also the 08+ Porsche Cayenne Turbo with steel monocoque, & 10+ Range with steel, but in these times, I really don't have the time nor patience to deal with luxury impressions nor foreign import repair hikes
These are so sexy. I just picked one up same color. Only had 57k mikes. The hummer was in storage for 5 straight years. Even thi it was low miles it needed some repairs. I just replaced the Entire front suspension. New readhead gear box, Dmax store heavy duty tie rods, all new ball joints, new rare parts pitman arm, and arm idlers, new oem power steering pump, oem brake booster since it was leaking. Sway bar link, Front and rear bushings and shocks. Replaced rear main seal, since it was leaking. Yeah like I said truck is 10/10 exterior and 9 out of 10 interior but it did need repairs.
What GM Could of done to make the H2 hold on its value more is (1) spent more $$$ in the interior (2) had a Duramax Diesel Option (3) 2WD....not 4wd all the time help with MPGS
I got mine for 8200. 2003 black like yours. Yeah, paid for, that's what I say, no car payment. Just have to put fuel in it. Mine leaks a little oil, I've put some stop leak in and that helped. I think for under 10k they're really good. I love mine. Interior could have been better. Mainly the shifter and the door panels. And the climate controls, they should have had duel air to the rear like on the Expedition. Left/right makes no sense and the actuators seem to go bad way too often. I need to replace the air shocks on mine, they leak and the front end has that popping noise. I need to check that out. It's got some miles on it but overall, it's not bad. The sunroof is huge on these. Yeah, diesel would have been cool, but I don't think it's needed. About the only time you'd get the benefit would be for pulling and these are only rated to 7k lbs. anyway. Just driving down the road, whatever fuel you'd save with diesel (if any) you'd just pay more at the pump with higher cost of diesel. If you like acceleration, the H2 isn't for you. Buy the new Hummer EV I guess, lol, if you can afford it. I like taking my time, as long as I get there.
I came across a 06 H2 with 103,455 miles. It's black with black interior. They want $16,500 it is considered a good price from Kelly Blue Book. Just hesitant on pulling the trigger considering I will be financing $6000 and I have always bought my vehicles outright. Also thought about a H3
i just want a cool toy tank that will save my life if an idiot slams into me if it can save my life, take my money i could give a fvck what anyone thinks about it, it's my life, my future, only one
Dang I just service it haha wont need to be done for anther 50k since I use Amsoil synthetic The Hummer H2 has the same front differential as a 2500 chevy pull off the front plate and u will see a drain plug at the bottom and a fill plug in the middle of the differential fill full intill some comes out on a level place like a drive way
jGc These front Torsen diffs are awesome off road. I know nothing about servicing them but they are great and even better sometimes than a locking diff in some situations off road.
Been looking at these. Had one back in 06 to 08. Sold it. Regret it now. Does anyone know how difficult it is to replace parts etc? I have seen many with low miles at reasonable prices in amazing shape. I also wonder if Insurance companies rate you because it is out of production and harder to fix???
I do not like all the time full of Drive I like the choice of having an it and four-wheeler two-wheel whatever I want f*** that I know they do make them optional whether you want it locked in or not
Your video is actually helpful! I’ve been on the market for about 6 months now and these trucks are hard to find (in good conditions tho) I’m looking for a 05-06 one! Any other information that a future Hummer owner should know?! Thanks for the video
I have the same one color and all but never took it off road it’s a 2004 to and it’s clean all the time and everyone asked me if I bought the new one best vehicle I ever owned I use to buy a new car every other year until I got this h2.
Ok cost of truck 10k (1)Transmission service $250 at a local shop (2) Gear fluid front/rear Differential + transfer case $150 no laber cost (3) tie rod ends upgrade $200 Rockauto no labor cost (4) front wheel alignment $80 shop cost all labor (5) front bump stops dorman $50 no labor (6) radiator flush $10 No labor (7) oil change Full synthetic 10w30 with WIX oil filter $35 no labor Total cost to me is $$$$$10,775$$$$
@@matthewmclain9327 EXCELLENT!!! I can afford that easy. Have you heard about the fuel line and transmission line having to be replaced? Thanks buddy that was fast. Really, I am considering getting one.
@@oneluvb9739 Here in Calif we dont have to worry about Rust.. The brake lines are on top of the frame rail rear diver side tire that part is exposed to the elements That's where I would look first
You're saying people like the H3 more than the H2 of why the H3 is little and has a little engine and it's the women version f*** the H3 H2 is my favorite and the Humvee is okay
Only an idiot would buy a Bummer! poor mileage, poor visibility, top heavy, slow, undersized engine, and very expensive insurance! Unstable off road and oh ya they quit making them! hard to find parts. So go ahead spend a fortune on repairs!
