Great trails. Lived in there for 20 years. In 2015, I smashed a deraieur, broke the chain, popped a few spokes on that trail once... costly run and a very long walk home across town, but worth it.
Solid ride...These trails are no joke! I rode here a few months ago. Hummingbird and undertow. Riding up the road for a loop sucks but some of the toughest and most fun I've had downhill riding this year. One large boulder section at the end of one of them was beyond me and i decided to hike a bike.
Man, Oh, Man... it's been AGES since I rode here. Probably around '05 or '06 was the last time. I kept waiting for a section with several super tight singletrack switchbacks but maybe they have been washed away over time. I do remember portions of this trail reminded me of riding the slickrock in Moab. Maybe I'll revisit this place sometime. Pretty sure there's a bunch of "secret" stuff running all throughout this place. Probably best to ride it with someone who knows the area well. I dunno, I'm kind of an old man now, lol! The problem is, as I get older, slower, fatter, etc. the trails I used to excel on get faster, tougher, more techy, etc. lol! Such is the cycle of life...
It’s a tough trail. I took a left at one of the forks which I guess is called dirty bird. It’s steeper and crazy technical. Lots of big rock drops out in simi. I liked the grudge better. Had better flow.
@@MTBLifestyle Exactly. I use a mix of the GoPro9 and insta360 One R and now I'm going to incorporate the Skydio 2 to attempt to show the steep angles of the trails. We'll see how it goes.
