So happy to see you put generous amounts of lemon and tahini, and the fact that you serve it at room temperature is absolutely the best way to eat it. Thankyou.
+Miriam Kitchen (cooking with Miriam) very very lovely. My boyfriend and coworkers greatly thank you for this recipe. :) (as well as the Musacaa recipe :) )
I wish I would have watched this before the other hummus videos. I couldn't get my hummus right but when I tried this one it came out superb! Thank you so much!
@@lienbijs1205 I understood but some have very different flavors. The very best that I have had was from an Egyptian restaurant. It tasted so fresh!!! I can also say it might be the tahini or the amount of lemon that they use.
I have made hummus according to your recipe several times already, and I love it! thank you for making it so easy! I eat a lot of hummus and making it myself so much cheaper =)
Thank you 🥰🥰 Yes definitely way cheaper to make it at home and you can actually customize it as well. Try adding roasted garlic, roasted peppers i even made a sweet version with chocolate as well 😁😁
Thank you for this video, My daughter needed a real Egyptian Recipe for her History assignment. We will be making it from home cooked chickpeas and not canned. This is a great tutorial.
I would love for her to teach us how to make authentic grape leaves. The ones that are made with ground beef, rice and spices. I've only had them a couple of times and I wish I knew how to make them!
Kimberly Flaherty she has that one uploaded today. You should check it out, although she did the vegetarian version but you could always twist the recipe :) you just use unions, rice, beef, and season with just salt and pepper thats my mama's recipe :)
hi Miriam. I've seen so many humus recipes on RU-vid and this is my favorite. could you please make a video how to cook chickpeas correctly, soaking, time, salt/no salt, etc etc. and how to store them when cooked. please.
Miriam, you have a great personality, smile and your recipe is great, I am going to use it!here is a request for you- please show how you make tabouli. Thank you!
Hi again Miriam, Although I love your take on hummus. I think it would be great if you also introduced the process of making tahini as well. Prior to making the hummus, including the roasting of the sesame seeds etc...... That would really complete the hummus story don't you think......
hello dear Miriam, very good and nice recipe! Only a question: are the chickpeas cooked? as I tried a recipe with the beans just soaked overnight and it was delicious as well! Thank you! :-)
+celinher yes dear, these are cooked. It gives a creaminess to the final dish you can't get from the only soaking the chickpeas. Try it this way and let me know the results 😊
Hiii Miriam! Thanks for the recipe. It's very easy and delicious at the same time . Sure I will try it :) . There is something with the title though. It should be طريقة عمل سلطة الحمص. Thanks again and keep up the good work.
Great recipe, but that looks like a lime not a lemon? Just checking because the two taste so differently. I have to say, canned next to fresh picked and cooked taste no different?
Hi. I tried to make hummus today, it turn out to be horrible. I am not sure which part goes wrong. I use dried chickpeas and soak it overnight (without boiling it and remove the skin). I straight away put the chickpeas into food processor and follows everything that been doing in this video. The "hummus" very watery and the taste, so bitter until I need to vomit it out of my mouth. Plus, the bitterness after I have put some good amount of salt and a handful of lemon juice. Any ideas how do I improve and make it better? I suspect my mistake was I didn't boil it and remove the skin. Should do that? thanks!
+danial0428 I'm so sorry it didn't turn out good. But yes that was the mistake. It needs to be cooked. It actually takes a long time to cook on the stove top. If you don't wanna go through thr trouble of cooking them yourself you can buy the canned version. When the chickpeas are cooked they give a special creaminess to the dish and it thickens it.
+Sherry K it is very easy and I'll be uploading it soon. It would go incredibly well with the hummas specially it u toast it or even better fry it ( not very healthy but taste amazing, we only live once right 😆)
+Barbara Stepien-foad i love green lentils I'll add it to my recipes to do list. Meanwhile try the lentil soup recipe on the channel you will not regret it and I've quick pickled cucumber recipe too
Hi Miriam, I love your take on hummus, or as I call it tachi sauce...... Anyway, you mentioned requests for other recipes at the end of your video. Please could you make a really good halloumi cheese. I have just about perfected the art of making halloumi but I need a bit of expertise to make it absolutely perfect...... your skills may help me......
Hey buddy, just want to correct you there :) Tachi (pronounced taSHI) doesn't have anything to do with Hummus. Hummus is the Arabic word for chickpeas. Tachi is the Greek word for sesame paste. The dish I'm guessing you're talking about is made with Tahini, lemon and garlic. If you add chickpeas, it becomes Hummus be tahine which you see the lady making in the video. Can't have hummus without chickpeas!!
Hi Jambi, Thank you very much for your valuable information. I just want to get it right and I really appreciate your input my friend...... Now I can understand the differences and make the dishes and be confident with what I call them. Thanks once again Jambi.....
Ian Wills Glad to help Ian. Since you seem to like Levantine/Mediterranean foods I'd recommend you try and make Lebanese Thoum which is a garlic dip usually eaten with chicken. Also Baba Ghanoush and Mouhamara are really great dips that can also be eaten as a meal with pitta or flat bread. Happy cooking!
Thank you very much for that valuable information Jambi, I will certainly look into it and if it looks and tastes as good as your hummus then I must be onto a winner. Thanks again......
Ian Wills Nothing on this planet is perfect, thus you cannot make it perfect. You can only make it as best you can. Just strive for excellence . Perfection is impossible. Only God ( Allah ) is perfect
hi... im pilipino and i love egyptian food. because my friend is also a egyptian who influence me to eat and cook egyptian dishes. pls help me how cook cubba thanks.
Need to homemake your tahini paste? Do yourselves a favor and grind up the toasted sesame seeds in a coffee grinder and THEN mix it w/ olive oil. Food processor is a major waste of time for this process. Need only a small amount? Try 1/3 C sesame seeds to 1T olive oil. Done.
