Britain has been hit by more storms, high winds and "unprecedented" flooding on the south coast.
More than 200 people were evacuated from the Medmerry holiday park in West Sussex and areas like Earnley, Littlehampton and Bracklesham after the River Arun burst its banks.
Littlehampton was badly hit with flooding damaging many properties.

It's about time those drains were cleared and cleaned and the rivers dredged it's the council who tax us and do nothing for use who are at fault here and they blame it on climate.

@@aidiess it would be nice if we could vote them out. as it is we have a two party system which are as bad as each other and then the voting system is rigged by the seat system that Thatcher introduced where seats are bought by donate's giving major corporations from around the world a voice in our votes and sway it to their advantage

SPOT ON! They stopped dredging because of impact on wildlife ( flies..knats..etc) seriously! They breed at rate of hundreds/ trillions a day..human lives matter!!

If councils cleaned the road gutters and drains like they used too, this wouldn't be the problem it is. If the government allowed farmers to irrigate and stop damming streams etc, this wouldn't be a problem. In short, this is ENTIRELY created by failing to maintain the infrastructure.

So many people still buy houses on flood plains here in the UK. Fxxx knows why half the time. Possibly because homes are cheaper but they know the risks. Just don't do it!!!

@@michellebacchus9845 Yeah my sister just got one close to the river not on a flood plain. The amount of rain climate change has brought to the country makes these houses too risky. Luckily she sold it to someone not concerned by the flooding.
