And btw Pawan Kalyan is one of the biggest stars of Telugu film industry (TFI) and has one of the biggest fandoms ever in TFI. (And uncle to Ram Charan)

I would like to inform you that This movie's Director is Sujeeth who happens to be director of "Saaho" If you look at the shot of Waaji Exports and imports. The Waaji city is the City Shown in Saaho. So there may be crossover. And the makers of the film DVV are the makers of RRR ❤❤
Sujeet is good at execution of mass scenes with hero buildup, action set pieces and placing twists in his story....But, has to work on the story telling and screenplay to keep the audience engaged...Hope OG won't turn out like Saaho Crossover between Saaho and OG would be not advisable as Saaho didn't go well

The Japanese influence.. I don’t think it would be there.. there could be some shots in Japan though.. early PK’s movies had a lot fight scenes that had King fu in some sort as he is trained in martial arts. Katana has been used in his earlier movies as well.. Khushi, Jalsa.. in both movies he doesn’t kill anyone. What the character in-fact conveys is, to win a battle you have to defeat the enemy.. not kill.. Like you mentioned Jackie chan and others won’t kill making this character seem like anti-hero.. But it seems like he will be a peace loving person and obv the turmoil in Bombay and the effect of mafia in 80s might have drove him to rage.
actually, the guy who kills with sword and poses with that bell bottom pant, the inverse camera shot it's all the antagonist himran hashmi. Pawan is a police officer in the movie and i definitely guess there is sword fight between them. Imran Hashmi returns after 15 years narrator referring the blood bath he created.
He is 2nd dan black belt . First time see him using katana was in Kushi . After I didn't seen him using that . That movie was a sensation I hope this would . Even though fan of darling
