When I eat this same meal I add a lot more salt and four or five pats of butter to the mashed potatoes. As long as your blood pressure stays normal it's fine. It's only the recommended amount some people can eat a lot more. Plus you can have a banana and a bagel for breakfast one of the chicken ones for lunch and one for dinner and still not be over your recommended sodium intake by much at all. So it's really not that much if you think about it.

Banquet really does give a good share of food for a buck, although after you finish eating one you feel like you've eaten a sea's worth of sodium.

banquet is the brand i've had the most luck with as far as quality. they seem to be decent quality, just in kinda small amounts.

frozen and canned foods are often times loaded with sodium as a preservative.

I am 9 months late to this, but yes, it was significantly better around 10 years ago. As a kid I used to eat Hungry Man dinners once in a while, and compared to now, they were basically a gourmet meal. Really sad tbh, but I suppose this is kind of how it went for all TV dinners.
