After 2.5 years of planning, practicing and persevering, I achieved the under one hour speedrun on the hardest difficulty on my twitch stream on September 28, 2023.
A 100% Badass speedrun in Huntdown requires that I:
A) Play through the game in Badass Mode, where everything can one-shot me
B) 100% the game, which requires that, for each level, I kill a certain amount of enemies , find the three stashes and do it without dying/using checkpoints. So any hits mean immediate death and immediate level restart.
The real thing that made this under one hour possible was having the least amount of deaths, as deaths near the end of a level (like what happened on Sonny Rooster) can cost anywhere from 2 to 6 minutes. And with this run, I only had 3 deaths (and one reset I did because I accidentally shot someone when I needed to slice them)
Gonna take a small break from doing the speedruns, but will be back on / broseidonrex .
