Breaking the 15 minutes barrer was my ultimate goal for this category, what an amazing feeling to finally achieve it. Objectively with current strategies I could only have won four and a half seconds on this run.
You can shave off 10 seconds or something on the last level if you throw spears at the orbs and use them to propel yourself. It’s so hard and there is an element of randomness because you can’t hit it perfect every time but even the small easy ones save time. There is one that is a giant save but it’s really inconsistent. It’s been a while since I went for the record so I can’t remember exactly how much time it saves but I do know it’s a lot faster
I doubt that you can save 10 seconds just by doing that, it is enormous in this game and the TAS is not even using the orbs this way. That said i don't totally disagree that you could manipulate them a little at your advantage to save a short amount of time but it is theoretical unless there is a video.
@@LunatixTV it’s definitely not 10 seconds that was an exaggeration I typed the message quick and had to go so I just put that number. I thought I had the recording but it’s gone. The TAS run doesn’t do anything with the orbs which is strange because I’m almost certain it can save time even if it’s less than a second he could’ve done something with them, maybe he didn’t think of it. I wish I had the recording for proof so it’s not just my word but the big save was at least 2 seconds on its own. Maybe one day I’ll do it again and post it
Can I ask how you are able to roll so many times when sliding down the slopes? I spam the roll button and can't seem to get as many in for some reason, there's always a delay between rolls
