Brand: Hunter
Model: Covington
This is a 42" Hunter Covington ceiling fan in polished brass with Walnut finish blades. The fan features a 3-light tulip shade light kit which is original to the fan and would have been included when brand new. The fan dates to the 2nd quarter of 1997, features your standard 3-speed reversible motor and offers walnut/oak reversible finish blades.
The Covington is just one of many iterations of the Coastal Breeze; a fan model that was a staple of Hunter's lineup throughout the 90's and early 2000's. Essentially this fan is just a typical Coastal Breeze but was sold with a light kit included and marketed under the "Covington" name. I believe that this specific model was exclusively sold in Kmart stores sometime in the mid to late 1990's.
Overall, even by Hunter's standards, this is a cheaply made fan. Not the worst but definitely an economical model offered by Hunter. As seen in the video the fan does have a wobble, this is from when the fan was found sitting on the blades (curbside find). The airflow is not too impressive, while it does move air the output on medium speed feels equivalent to what you'd expect on low speed from most other 42" fans. The switch housing and motor housing are made from thinly stamped steel and can easily be bent/deformed. While this fan is nothing to write home about it is silent and still equivalent to a lot of home center fans on today's market.
