Hunter is such an underrated bass player. Love his tone on this one, the Jazz bass sounds so meaty in the mix on Black Sails, too! I got a chance to meet him in Pontiac, MI on the Warped Tour in Summer 2001, and he was such a cool dude. I told him I was also a bass player, and when he asked me what kind of bass I had, I said "Just a Fender P-Bass," since I was aspiring to get either an Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray, or a Warwick of some kind (Roger from Less Than Jake and P-Nut from 311 were also among my favorite bassists at the time, and played those, respectively). Hunter chuckled and said "Hey man, that's a good bass!" I did feel a little bad for interrupting his conversation with the cute woman at the Nitro Records booth, though I still got his autograph on the back of an unused AFI bumper sticker that I still have to this day :D
December underground was decent. Sing the sorrow was good. But only stuff I really ever come back to is: Black sails, All Hallows, art of drowning. The energy. The breakdowns. The best.
