Counterfeit Kebbits (or Kebbit swapping) allows you to complete all the undesirable Kebbit tasks such as Deadfalls and Tracking by instead swapping to a Falconry Kebbit task, collecting the Kebbity Tuft Unique Item, and pawning that off back to the original Guild Hunter as if you had completed it.
This allows for virtually all the worst tasks in the game to be transformed into Falconry tasks instead, a much much faster task! The setup is pretty simple, so just follow along and let me know if you have questions or need help!

Think they intended for this to happen. The examine text for the kebbity tuft suggests as much. It says that you are not even sure where this really came from.

I understand the focus on the dark kebbits, being a good flex point to hold as you move from Adept level to Experts, but you can bank a Dashing Kebbit in one Expert, use the other for tasks and block with both adepts for the Expert list. The counterfeit then becomes using the other expert to cover bad rolls on the task list, however you set up your blocks on lower tiers. Benefit from using dashing to counterfeit is that it's the only kebbit from falconry to drop hunter meats, being the one to consume for run energy as well as 3 charges for the whistle

Yeah this is a totally viable strat too and I may consider it to passively farm a TON of dashing kebbits. I like having both experts open but I might end up doing Dark Kebbit in adept AND Dashing Kebbit in Expert just in case. If I didn't get Kyatt's in Novice I would almost definitely do this and block Kyatts in Adept, I just got lucky!

Dangit, i just set up my rumours to get rid of the bad kebbits. For the remaining tasks i recommend blocking red salamanders since my experience with them is world hopping to get an empty world since master hunters hunt them too and there's effectively 1 good spot in each world. Orange salamanders have lower xp, but the necropolis spot is really good.

shhh don't tell people about the necropolis spot, I haven't ever had an issue finding an empty world, half the time it's empty even on w330 which is wild.

So I've got the same block list as you now and got dark kebbits banked on one of the adept masters. My question is, one of the expert masters always ends up having black or red chins cause those are the ones I don't want to do. So instead of having 2 expert slots, I really have 1 then another occupied with chins. Is this still optimal?

Is it possible to bank multiple kebbit furs or whatever they are called or does it only drop one at a time. Would banking it be possible and would that allow you to get another one once its banked?

As far as I know you can't get multiple at the same time, nor can you drop trick (there's only a destroy option). If I'm wrong or find out otherwise to chain tasks back to back, i'll update!

@@doubleshine If your inventory is full it drops on the floor but It probably has the normal despawn timer so it's not really an option.

Honestly thank you for sharing this, im just wondering, im doing expert tasks, and i want to set up block list with novice and adpet, do i land 2 solid expert tasks then check with adepts and novice? Or work from novice to expert? Hope my explanation was clear.

Either or Works, but I personally found it easier to start with Adept -> Expert so that if you hit a Pyre Fox you're basically done. If you work down, you might hit Pyre Foxes as Expert and then have to do it, so working Easy -> Hard avoids that.

Novice to expert is better because you can use experts to one-time task reset annoying lower-tier ones that you don't want blocked, like kebbits pre-counterfeiting or larupias or whatever.

i rolled spotted kebbit on adept and think that might be a bit better as they are not present in expert rumours so the dark kebbit isnt blocked for the expert ;)

Yeah if you have the dark kebbit somewhere that's fine, just if it's occupying an expert slot you may want to move it down to adept to hold the slot open. Either way, just have to have it somewhere and you're set! I only include this so people don't roll adept 50 times and realize it's actually on novice or something

Yup! Dark Kebbits are just a way to put them onto the Adept task, but you can easily just "save" a dashing kebbit from the expert task and it will function the same way.

Honestly, I don't mind saber-toothed kebbits, gives me plenty of alch time. I have a serious backlog of maple longbows from fletching that I've been using that task to work through.

Speak to any hunter master and they'll tell you who you're hunting for and for what, or right click your whistle and click rumour

I think this is only valuable for adept. At experts, I have 3 great blocks and then I can reroll between my expert tasks. I would essentially be "wasting" a block by leaving dark kebbits in one of the block slots.

So what happened here was you took the Novice full reroll task. He will ask you if you want his old one, or a brand new one. Taking the brand new one fully resets all other contracts but you HAVE to do what he gives you first, the others will all say that line.

Hopefully they just leave this as is I take some work to set up properly but it's definitely worth it. And for those who have a higher hunter level, they're already rewarded with a good pool of tasks. I don't really think this is too overpowered you're still going around and hunting.
