Hunter Original End Of Fan Season 2021 Oil Checks

It's a good idea to check the oil in these at least once a year. I typically find one that needs to be topped off, and this year it was the 1981 R&M on the back patio. Before oil checks I cleaned them, so now they should be ready for service in the Spring.

I have two 1.1 amps and they are not sluggish at all, I barely can tell a difference vs my 2.0 amp Originals ✌️ maybe those people had bad capacitors

That's what I'm thinking, too. They might need to disassemble, clean all the sludge out, reassemble, and fill with new oil, as well. I did both with mine, and it performs wonderfully.

"I got my dipsticks ready". Yes, but are you ready for the dipsticks in the comments? Be careful talking about capacitors in ceiling fans, a certain dipstick is liable to get bent out of shape! Anyway, glad to see they're all running well. Just goes to show that if you take care of your stuff, it will take care of you.

Har Har. I've managed out twerp a few lately! I _won't_ mention any names! They are quite difficult to replace, even more so that pull switches! Indeed, a few minutes out of my day, once a year keeps my faens in top condition.

Would you still happen to have the original switch you pulled out of the 2.5 amp 3 speed fan to make it 4 speed? I really need one of those old arkless pullchains, thanks.

Next time I'm out in the shop, I'll dig the spare parts box out, probably this weekend. Seems like one of the terminals was messed up, and the wire wouldn't stay in place, is why I decided to replace it. You're certainly welcome to have it though. Those arkless switches are awesome. I haven't been able to source any NOS though.
