Had you tried holding reverse button for 7 seconds? Manual says to hold it for 7 seconds for it to reverse, and if it’s held while fan is running, fan would not reverse instantly, but would turn off. You would have to turn it back on after holding reverse button for 7 seconds.
s7d5.scene7.com/is/content/HunterFan/40889pdf This shows that it's definitely is supposed to only run on medium speed via pull chain. Also does the pull chain have to be on for it to run when it's on remote mode, or pull chain does nothing when on remote mode?
I certainly never thought otherwise, it hadn't been tampered with before I got it. I can't remember positively but I'm pretty sure the pull chain does nothing when on remote mode. I think the power is rerouted directly to the receiver by the switch.
@@vfandm Yeah it's just weird how Hunter set it up, medium downdraft only on manual, 3 speeds on both direction by remote. I could imagine that Hunter chose medium because it's an average speed out of 3 speed. I remember when you had someone else fixed the receiver that's why I was saying how medium only manual is from factory.
Could you do a video on how to install that light kit on a hunter fan, I'm use to installing lights that go through the center of the little hole of the switch cap but I know that this fan has to have the switch cap removed completely to have a light but I have no idea how to install it
The switch housing is actually packed, I don't think I could get another capacitor in there. But no, I really have no desire to change the factory setup.
+Vintage Fans & More at least remote works fine, except for reverse. I uploaded videos of 3 Hunter Studio Series Remote yesterday (remote only, no manual, and with different remote with separate button for speeds), and all 3 of them work fine.
