No, they utilize a capacitor chip on the circuit board. It trickle charges during normal AC operation. With the power off it will hold programming for up to 24 hrs. Hope that answered you question, don’t forget to Subscribe it really helps.✌️

When I try to add another time for my lawn sprinkler under A the drips come on at that time. How do I have two times for my lawn separated by one hour during the heat of the summer. A1 comes on at 5 am for 20 minutes with MP rotators. How do I add another session at 6:30 for 20 minutes?
Put the drip system valve in Program B and leave the lawn zones in A program. Give the lawns 2 start times in A program. Then give the drip system a start time that begins when the A morning time ends. Problem solved. Hope you remembered to Subscribe. ✌️
