Hunter x Hunter [AMV] - "Who Are You?" [RE:IC #4]

AAAAAAHHHHHH, OH MY GOSH, I DID IT!!!!
I entered my first IC, and I managed to finish it within the four day time limit! I've never really edited under pressure before, so I was a little nervous at first... but it ended up being such a blast! I absolutely loved the song packs they provided (I'm gonna edit with them more in the future) and it was just so much fun just pouring all my creativity into this and editing with Hunter x Hunter. And yeah, I did feel a little tired at the end, but I mostly just feel really proud of myself. (I'll definitely be back for IC #5.)

When I was going through the songs provided for the IC, I found "Who Are You" and it immediately made me think of Hunter x Hunter. So I decided to make a video that focuses on the Chimera Ant Arc and is about losing yourself. I wanted to accurately portray the storyline in a way that was very clear and interesting to the people watching it. Also, I wanted to showcase that self destruction isn't only harmful to yourself, but also to the people around you. (Which is why Killua's perspective was in this a lot.)
I'm really happy with how it turned out. (I think it's probably my best video so far.)
Along with this, today is also a special day for me because it was one year ago today that I posted my first video. So it's the one year anniversary for my channel, whooo!!! Honestly, this contest was a great way to wrap up the year and it has shown me just how much I have grown and improved over the last year.
Going into this next year with my channel, I want to continue to improve my editing skills and make videos that are better than the ones from last year. (i upgraded my editing program recently, so I'll be able to do more stuff this year!) Also I want to add more variety to my channel because I noticed that the majority of my videos were really sweet and light hearted. (That was actually on accident. When I started making videos, I had with every intention of making drama videos.) Of course I'll continue to make cute videos too, but I also want to add more diversity to my channel and do more drama, action, dance, etc.
And as a personal goal to myself, I want to try to post twice a month this year. (I won't be able to immediately start posting twice a month, but I want to eventually get to the point where I can.) So stay tuned for that.
And finally (sorry, this has gotten way longer than I thought it would. Thanks if you read this far.) I want to say thank you to all my friends and family members who watched my videos and cheered me on. Also, thank you to the people who subscribed to my little channel and were kind enough to give me likes or comments. It means a lot to me. Love you guys!

Update: In case anyone was wondering (if you've read this far, then your probably are, lol) the results of the IC came back. I placed 12th for the drama/romance and 46th overall. (And there were 93 entries total, so I am dead center or the pack 😂) So I did about as well as I thought I would, and I'm just glad that I'm not at the very bottom of the pack. I just want to go forward from this and do my very best and improve during this next year. And hopefully I can do a little better during the next IC. 😁
