Yes! Hunter X Hunter is the greatest anime of all time. It doesn't have to be your favorite, you don't even have to like it to realize how great it is. Never in your life so far will you see an anime done so perfectly, wish visuals, soundtrack, characters and story all done in arguably flawless fashion. It literally affects all of your human senses in the best way possible. HXH has the ability to make you cry and dry your tears with the same episode. I used to think that HXH was the Breaking Bad of the anime world, and in some ways that does apply, But now I actually think that HXH surpasses BB in entertainment value. HXH has changed the way I view anime in general. Animes that I used to think were amazing are now trash to me after watching HXH. Just watch it.

Edit: This is like a mini review in itself, but there are no spoilers, so don't worry. Hunter X Hunter. This anime's main characters are likable, and go through a lot of changes throughout the series. The animation is the best I've ever seen in any long running anime, the character development is subtle but still noticeable, each arc feels different from before but still ties in with the base story and goal, the anime doesn't have all of the cliches that most anime have like nakama power, powering up when they want to, complete plot armor, and repetitive arcs. As well, the main characters don't always win, and the fights that have the enemy stronger than they are, are won with insanely brilliant battle tactics. You can't go through this anime and compare it to things like One PIece, Naruto, Bleach, and Dragon Ball Z. This is an anime that you can't predict. So this is why Hunter x Hunter is the best anime ever! By the way, I still like the other anime I listed but this is just so much better, so don't try to kill me in my sleep or something.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood -The story is really great -The character development is wonderful It is the best anime I watched, no doubt about it! Edit: I think I changed my mind. After seeing this comment again I have to admit I prefer HxH over FMAB. But still FMAB is one of the greatest of all time. Definitely #2 in my overall-ranking, but HxH is #1 though.

The thing i love so much about hunter x hunter is that i feel like the main characters can die at any time of the show. Like the main character can not just scream, talk about friendship and get a power boost and defeat anybody. I love that about this show, its freaking awesome. they have no plot armor.

Hunter x Hunter - Masterpiece Writing - Tactical fights - Not forcing "Character A" to fight "Character B" - Best Characterization (almost every character in this anime has) - Has no bad arc. The lowest point of this anime is an 8/10 FOR ME and that is the Hunter Exam. Put it to Naruto Shippuden and it would be the best arc.

Genuine Story, Comedy, Entertainment, Mind-blowing Unpredictable Plot, Great Fights, Best Power System, Best Characters, Best Villains, Best Friendship, Tragedy, Terror, Vengence, Love, and Adventure etc. Other Shounen Anime just focuses on the plot armor shit, and mediocre script writing. Have a Beautiful Animation yet very Predictable and Generic Story without Depths.

Saint Seiya is my favourite anime of all time , the characters are awesome all have unique styles, powers and personalities also loved their back stories on the fights so i could understand them even more. Character developing was so good that anime did bring me every emotion when i was a kid and for me is a legendary one.

Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood because the characters were so amazing and I really felt a connection to them more than I have with any other show. The animation was amazing. The opening songs were so great that I listen to them all the time. I love the amount of adventure in each episode. The characters motivations were also just so well done. My only complaint is that the main villain could have been done better

One Piece such a great story its the best series to marathon and keeps you thirsty when waiting weekly the adventure feel tied in with the comedy, mystery and amazing characters with amazing flashbacks there are endless topics to discuss with many possibilities to explore !

HxH change my view of anime completely, I can normally predict what would happen in anime but HxH change everything, on the Hunter exam we thought Killua would beat his brother to save Gon but Killua surrender and this made me remember Killua is a assassin but he is still just a kid who want a friend but while Killua is scared of not being able to win in a battle in the chemera ant arc he remember he is doing this for his friend and snaped and he can finally do unpredictable battles so this anime not only have unpredictable thing but it not only have the best character development and the most unique power system but it also have the most amazing storyline I have ever seen, like how some anime how the character always win by just beating their enemy to hell but HxH is not like that because HxH talk about tactics and recklesness like how Gon didn't care about the possibillity of death in battle which can do him bad or good and Killua care about the chances of winning which cause him to avoid trying new things that is dangerous👍

One Piece. The world-building is the best. The story is connected from beggining to the end. Everything is planned out. The main characters are not even close to be the strongest and also loose, there are many characters that outclass them. Every main character has a really well written backstory which defines there characteristics and shows why they are how they are. There are many incredibly cool and interesting characters. All of the charcters get their time to shine and are never thrown away.

This is my favorite anime, I completely agree with you! I love the music, art style, characters, story build, and character development. There wasn't any specific characters in this show that I hated cause they were all so very unique. The amount of powers in the show was very different. I literally searched for : "hxh is best anime". You know how I like it, don't you?

Hunter x Hunter when I first encountered it pretty quickly became my "favorite series ever". Cowboy Bebop I probably would have said was the "best" when I first got into anime, Yu Yu Hakusho though I enjoyed more. But even with the 1999 series introduction over a decade ago, and through numerous hiatuses, especially during the ant arc... everything about HxH did what I wanted. Reading/watching it was weird, because I know it's kinda a unique work. It dares to go where few other authors really are willing, and does so with such charm that it's near impossible not to get sucked in. The 2011 series provided me with an incredible treat week after week. It was amazing to see the series I cared so much about get such proper treatment. At some level I really doubt anything could actually replace HxH in my heart. I may find something I can say might be 'higher art', whatever that ambiguous set of words means... but in terms of 'favorites', HxH seems to have found a very comfortable home for over a decade in me. Even without Madhouse's adaptation. (Though that first episode will always leave a bitter taste in my mouth)

Clicked like immediately after reading the title. Its the World's FUCKING BEST that could ever exist. As many people have said below it ruined most of all anime for me. There's character depth for even the most "insignificant" of the characters!!! For example, in the last episode there's a good amount of dialogue and characterization for the ticket seller. Him respecting Gon says a lot about his character. This is just one instance that came to my mind right now. In the last episode, Gon climbing the young World Tree is a reflection of our own lives. After all his pain he was able to climb the tree with calm and integrity while also helping the struggling ones. But when Gon met his dad he revealed that this was just a sapling and a real world tree is something much much bigger and that is exactly a symbolism of our lives. Not to mention the perfect battle system ever created - Nen. So many opportunities for creativity while maintaining constraints for every Nen ability. Other shonens can suck HxH's cock. People who say HxH is boring or annoying are the ones who watch anime only to please others and socialize just to manipulate people. They have no real interest in watching anime.

This anime is so good, it only needs 1 Opening to keep you hooked for the 148 episode ride!!!

I started with FMAB, watched a few after that and thought nothing would surpass it. Made the step into subs with HxH and by the end it became my favorite and it got me into subbed anime. Rewatching it now and it’s even better.

My favorite anime of all time is Yu Yu Hakasho because during the show we get to see a punk kid grow into his own and discover himself while he goes on his adventures and not only that but the supporting characters had amazing stories and I ended up caring about them just as much as i cared about Yusuke

Mine is fairy tail. Cause the character development is amazing their back story's are amazing and I love it, next the idea about the guilds and control of magic is amazing and I think that's how it would work if wizards are real with people making sure they don't do bad things and people joining together to help I love fairy tail and I want natsu to find his dragon
