The Hunters Club team return to the scene of some of the best hunting ever captured on the show, amazing Stewart Island at the very bottom of New Zealand, and in the process, manage to surpass anything they’ve filmed there in the past.
Absolutely ripper episode and great positive depiction of what hunting in New Zealand is all about. Timm'y passion and energy for the outdoors is bloody awesome, crack up!
Done 15 trips to the island shot 1 good 8 pt buck +lots of others this is pretty representative of the bulk of the animals there They’re Lovely deer and deserve our utmost respect we’re really lucky to have them Well done boys good hunting and well deserved the skins are great trophies in themselves Thanks for posting love ya show!!!
Wow guys you are really blessed in NZ - you made my day - awesome footage from Spearfishing and Bowhunting. Many greetings form the Federation of Swiss Bowhunting.
The way this was filmed and put together was friken unreal. Typical Kiwi legends. Well done. So dam cool! White tail in the southern hemisphere.. that's mad!!
I hiked around stwert island and stayed in that hut one night. Saw a beautiful whitetail not far from that spot in the middle of the day on the trail. The pawa are big and tasty there too. Been dreaming of going back there for a hunt.
Awesome video and great filming boys I've done many a trip down Stewie too, it's such an addictive place Hard Case getting Ty to drop off some stores to yous, they great buggers to travel with, and Ian on the other boat now
Those are some weird looking little ass whitetails. Really changed in the last 100 years down there I guess. I like the big boys we have in America lol!
Tick repelent. Hang your hunting clothing out side and spray with roach and ant bug killer, Socks included. Air for a while, put on and go hunting. Neck, face, ears and back of hands with concentrated DEET. No ticks or any other bug specially in moskito country
Heya, Not sure if there is no ticks in NZ as a whole, but we certainly don't have them here in the South. So yea, carrying whole deer or pigs on your back in the South Island is fine and normal. 👍👍
Very young doe, because the lengh of her snout. How big do they grow? One of the very first upstate NY does I shot was about that size. Do they get as big as the US ones grown up. 160 Pds a fair sized buck, Miss the friendship and camaradery of my younger hunting and fishing days . Spearfishing included, not in NY but in my home country Vzla. Our deer about 80 pds full grown. Great video
yer good vid" kiwis cruising round" an love no shootin til a good shot" looks an awesome place" i think need to limit hunters n campers. cos it is" cheers.
Was chasing a full grown doe when looked left and could only see her face looking at me at about 40 yds. Did not recognize her age and shot her between the eyes with a very old but trusty 1917 Enfield in 30-06.
and love best veni" ive heard that fallow beter than red, sika better than fallow" god dam it whitetails the best" hey could be the buetiful bush there eatin"
If they only ever introduced 9 deer - back in the early 20th century, and being separated from anywhere else because they are on an island - wouldn't the deer now all be interbred and diseased??
Not necessarily, there's plenty of examples of small founding populations of mammals resulting in thriving populations a few decades on. If the original deer were closely related, then sure, there could be negative downstream effects, but for 9 unrelated animals, it provides for a fairly decent amount of genetic variation. The likelihood of direct siblings mating is fairly low.
That first deer was not 1 1/2 it was year ling I live in United States I hunt them all the time I kill piles of them every year that is very small an the buck will get 200+ pounds an they can sure eat a bullet an take off
Far out, other than what they were wearing, I didn’t notice anything overt, was too busy being blown away by an awesome mission in awesome territory! I agree though, it’d be great if it wasn’t needed, wouldn’t it? For an hour long video of this quality, I wouldn’t mind even if there was more sponsor product placement or whatever! It’s certainly way better than what’s on normal tv. From what I hear, all they get out of shows like this is the stuff their sponsors donate - not much money in it from the broadcasters. Keep up the good work, THC 👍🏾
@@TheHuntersClub When we did a Hunting Aotearoa show a few years back Dave, they were getting about 45k per show from NZ Broadcasting. Imagine what that would change.
U don't know shit about white tails ,an guy after u shoot a deer there's an ensime in its blood that make its temp go over 120 if not taken care of will spoil quick ,should have thrown in sailt water an cooled her off ,
