This week we again search for something new. We visit a beach that is the only place in Britain you can find certain exotic shells. There are many cowries and exotic shells that have come across from the Caribbean on the gulf stream. Come with us on a search for the rare and unusual in a beautiful place!
If you would like to watch us use some of the shells in miniature crafting pop over to our new second channel `The Miniature World Of Kit + Caboodlers` -
/ @theminiatureworldofki...
We have a patreon page for anyone wishing to support us.
We also have a Ko-fi account, so if you wanted to support us by buying us a metaphorical cup of coffee it would be greatly appreciated xx

I've never seen such a small sand dollar. Along the Texas Gulf coast ours are the size of your hand with your fingers stretched out. If you break them open, they have tiny bird shaped bones in them that we called Doves.

where on the gulf coast are you? i grew up in houston, galveston. i was last there around 15 years ago, and there were no seashells at all on galveston, in a mile i found a single broken sand dollar. there were always less whole seashells every year since i was a child 50+ years ago, but to find none at all was terrifically sad and unexpected. one reason i love these videos; they really know how to practice the art of cherishing, don't they? and there's always the cat, Sunny.

That large snail with the zig-zag striping may be a Gaudy Nautica. Also, check to see if the bubble shell glows under a UV light. The tiny tritons and topsnails are beautiful.

I love your hat Fleur! The shells are amazing. I watch a channel SWF southwest Florida shelling. It comes out every Sunday afternoon. She’s very educational. The cowry shell is rare there and much much bigger than the shells you found but, I believe you found a mini Apple Murex . So much fun. See you later!🙋‍♀️

Loved the shells . I collected tiny shells when living in Florida a while back . Once found a tiny living Octopus in a tiny shell. What a treat ! Let it go in a tidal pool in its shell quite near the tide line so it would not get stranded on dry shore . The cowrie shells could maybe be used as eggs in a wire basket on a table if you like . a little wire woven chicken shaped egg basket would be lovely and fun to make maybe . Thanks for sharing . I have been frustrated at not seeing enough seashells on mudlarking channels. OK, today was amazing. I was frustrated again, but this time at not being able to be there with you. I could easily have used a shovel and bucket to do collecting there. I love the tusk shells. Kate, I too have looked high and low for a wentletrap. They are so scarce here on the Washington coast of America. I haven't found one in the many years of searching I have done. I hope you find one there. One of my very favorite shows! Bravo!!

Happy belated mums day fluer. From the states . You've raised such a lovely daughter ! My suggestion for the tusk shell ...lol. if you come accrossed any miniature elephant heads glue them on and place them on a wall in the doll house assuming the father of your victorian doll house is a proper hunter . As so many men love to brag on their hunting of Big" game . Big chuckle . Not advocating the hunting of such a beautiful animal.! But Its for make believe people. This is a humble worthy dollhouse!!! The "tusk shells" you found are called dentalium in the States. Pacific Northwest tribes of Native Americans traded them all over the country to other tribes. They were worn as symbols of status and used as a form of currency. It was said that a tusk shell that reached across a man's hand from his thumb to pinky finger was valuable enough to pay off a death debt. (If you were in some part responsible for the death of another) Today we still use them in traditional regalia as well as just for beauty's sake. I'd love to send you some photos of my husband and I in our ceremonial shells. Also, I can play the cowrie shell game (one of them anyway) if you'd like to learn. ❤️

I absolutely love beaches and love finding shells over everything else. Next comes agates and then sea glass. The Oregon coast is my happy place and we are limited in the shells we get. But sand dollars are one type we do get. And lots of mussels and clams. The smallest whole ones I have found were slightly smaller than an American dime. I love this video. Thank you 🙏. Wow how tiny are some of those shells! The tiny pink scallop, and the cowries are just cute, love the dentalium shells (tusks), very historically and culturally valuable to many Native Americans as well! Have you thought of giving the dolls house a name it could go by?

It must have been hard to leave there. That is the smallest sand dollar I have ever seen.

How lovely! I recognize some of these shells from our beaches, this side of the Atlantic…especially the sand dollars! ❤️🇨🇦❤️

You could put the tiny shells around a small piece of mirror for the dolls house. The larger shells with the nipple on top could be used as a lamp shade. I just love watching your videos everyday! Love you girls!

The brown lily shaped shell looks like pottery, and would look good on a wall as a candle sconce or wall pocket for teeny little flowers. I love your dollhouse, mention it as much as you want!

It would be neat to make a little stuffed walrus and use the shells for tusks. Or maybe a unicorn? I used to go shelling when I lived in FL and found the biggest ones after storms.

Please keep mentioning the doll’s house! Unless it will hurt your ratings, of course 😉. Great tiny shell round up. Can’t wait to see your upcoming creations! Hi Oscar!
