as you all know i did promise there will be a replacement for the VN eventually and I wasnt lying, come along for the hunt for an iconic aussie car again
Yes mate! Super excited you’re hunting a VR/VS. I own a 96 VS Calais II which I bought off the original owner nearly 5 years ago. It’s only the Ecotec but that doesn’t bother me. I love it and will never sell. All the best for your search. Can’t wait to see what you get.
Mate don't stress about being fussy I'm the same with cars iv owned some 1 off nice cars over the years hard to hand over your hard earned coin if you are not happy with it now days the price of cars is crap to $$$$ but they have come down a bit over the past 6 months look forward to seeing what you buy love your videos
*5 litre content babyyyy!!* Lets goooo! The Blue VR senny looked like a plum. Maybe keep an eye out for a VS S2 Calais or a VS SS ute. Low build numbers though, so they dont pop up cheap often.
I loved the wine red 32 😂😂 was at a mate of a mates the other week and he had lost his license forever but had a dark green vr or vs hsv low ks started and ran awesome still regoed not driven for 10 years in a carport in a huge layer of dust and i was in awe of the thing!!!!
I had a genisis blue vr senator with leather devonish and sunroof, spewing I sold it! You will find something, keep hunting! Just gotta pay the money for a clean one.
So good to see some Aussie cars back on your channel, keen for a VR/VS Clubby/Senny. Also Chris do you still work at PP if you don't mind me asking, in this vid looks as though you are working for Boral in your Boral concrete gear.
Love how you won’t settle for the first one you see it’s gets tiring viewing car after car but stick in there till you get what your happy with keep the content coming brother
I've gotta say, i reckon my favourite Holden/HSV of all time is the VT Senator in that beautiful burgundy colour. A mate or mine had one and it was gorgeous
dont settle for aomething you only just like otherwise you will be pissed off at yourself & dont over spend. the vt was my favourite put of all of those cars.
Would be awesome to see a 5litre on the channel, vr-vs ss’s seem to be getting pretty reasonably priced, maybe look into them also if ya haven’t already
Alot of nice car choices there mate the senator would of been mint. I own a 94 VR caprice and personal like the VR over the vs, a caprice would be another good choice 5.0l of course, it's very had to spend money on something that doesn't look mint in and out especially when parts are hard to come by, drivetrain is alot easier to find on older cars as apose to interior. Anyway good luck finding something cool
I'm kind of like you, took me 3 months or so of serious looking to find a car I was happy with. Picked up a clean, single owner VS Calais. Settled for a V6, as for the price difference between the two, I can look at dropping in an LS conversion
I’ve got a VX Series 2 SS in manual you would likely appreciate. Took ages to find. 1 owner, all the books and original purchase receipts etc: Effectively still as new: 85k kms.
Get a VT 5L. You did the VN-VS range but you covered the LS engine too so a VT is a shape you haven’t done and a 5L donk is a engine you haven’t done either so best of both worlds.
Bermuda Blue favourite VT colour? Interesting, also if the auctions aren't willing to compromise on what the car went for seems like they're a waste of a bidders time.
Most of these cars are rare as hens teeth that cosmo is crazy i was scouting the Japanese auctions for a while and these was not one cosmo in japan for sale. I found one that sold for about 80k aussie dollars thats brutal in yen
The vt was definitely the most YOU car, but the blue sentor was the coolest car, these cars are still dropping in value so its not a big loss u missed out imop
I love VR Calais'. Black over silver or something like that. Would you ever consider an Ea/b/d or even a NC Fairlane? I love that era of commys and falcons
