Hunting Making a Difference - Ridding the Kwando River of a Man Eating Crocodile

The most exciting challenge in all of Africa is the pursuit of exceptional crocodile. A dinosaur that is in excess of 15 feet is a animal that is over 80 years of age, and has managed to thrive in a environment around humans as there are many villages in Africa in close proximity to the river systems. A cunning and dangerous predator, the crocodile is responsible for many human fatalities due to the dependence of the the rivers systems for water. A Hunter's Quest is excited to take you on a incredible adventure in the wilds of the Caprivi strip of Namibia, hunting on the kwando river, which is famous for giant crocs due to the abundance of wild game and cattle in the area. Big crocs are very shy animals and to find one on a safari is quite a challenge. Adding to the difficulty will be the fact we will be after a specific man eater that has evaded hunters for over a decade!!! If we are fortunate to find the giant lizard, we will need to stalk to less than a 100 yards, so a very precise head shot can be executed to prevent the animal from going into the river, from where a recovery will be impossible. Baiting will be utilized to pull the giant lizard from the many back channels in his territory. Taking this exceptional predator, will help make the river system a safer place for the local fishing communities that have suffered greatly due to his presence. The quest for a prehistoric dinosaur in the wilds of Africa is the ultimate hunt we can share with you and it’s our honor for a hunter’s quest to take you along on the extraordinary hunt for the man eater of the Kwando river.
Sustainable hunting is one of the most valuable tools in the preservation of land and wild game. The future of wild animals across the globe is dependent on our ability to sustain their constantly shrinking habitat. So the question remains. How does hunting help sustain and preserve the wildlands? It’s actually very simple, the local communities depend on the revenue generated from hunters. They also greatly benefit from the meat harvested during the safaris that take place on their land. Because of this, the game is protected and the habitat preserved.

I'd say every crocodile is a man-eater if given the opportunity. We humans are nice, juicy meat, easy to digest.

Honestly Bryan, I completely agree after a croc gets to a certain size. It has been proven with a lot of experience hunting crocs that the bigger ones (over 14ft) tend to be consistent maneaters. People need the river to survive and the crocs dominate the vast river systems in africa.

@@isaacbadza3075 each situation is different Isaac but all the places i have hunted in rural Africa, not only have many people gone missing from the river, you see people with missing limbs as well. I read Jim Corbett hunting man eaters, & im glad people are carrying on the great work for locals! Could you tell, what calibre is that rifle? And if a 7mm Rem Mag could work on a smaller one, 2.5-3 m (7-10ft)?
@AHuntersQuest

thank you my friend. it is important to take the dangerous crocs out of the river when possible. i used my 300 jarrett which is a rifle i know well. it is the most difficult shot to execute in the field in africa and my knowledge of the gun was a important part of our success. the 7mm for me would be too light to penetrate the skull of a massive croc like the one we harvested. hope you enjoyed the video and check out some of our other great adventures.

This particular croc has been hunted by the outfitter for over 7 years and we were very fortunate to see him. No one til me was willing to take such a long shot or I should say was pushed into doing it by the PH. He was in a very small area of the kwando river with two big villages in his territory. This guy has killed dozens of people over the years. Didn’t have to time to go to the villages for interviews etc with a big time crunch but the title is very appropriate for the monster we took out of the kwando river. If i bagged a croc that big id make a head piece out of its head with the tail like a cloak after i got fox fur on the sides of it :D BTW dude, impressive shot. IDK if youve done one, i think you should make a "personal" video on how you got into hunting and how youve trained to be such a good shot. The way you and your partner acted on this video in perticular, seems, like a sniper and his spotter. IDK, would be an interesting listen, if not coo, if so, ill listen and learn. Gona keep upvoting regardless :D
