The Honey Hunters of Nepal have a 260 year-old tradition of scaling mountains in search for a rare honey only found in the Himalayas that makes people hallucinate. We travel to the depths of the country of Nepal in search for these brave people and capture their story.
These stories searching for some of the world's rawest and most authentic experiences is what I feel most excited about in this chapter of my journey as a story-teller. Super proud of this one, I hope you enjoy :)

Hailing from Kathmandu, the urban lifestyle I enjoyed pretty much never got me into the depths of my own country sadly. I've heard about these honeys my entire life but never really knew anything more. Im not kidding. I've watched this documentary about 10 times, and it still amazes me everytime. The way you guys are able to capture this community and the tradition even with the language barrier amazes me. The art that you guys create, the combination of the skill of Cory and your ability to handle the camera, the editing, the sound, everything creates such a beathiful image. The entire documentary is absolutely amazing! I was like"wow", this is so unreal, how these guys managed to do that. But in general, even if you guys went through a lot the best part is always the safety of each and everyone. I cant help myself feeling so immerse into this documentary. I felt ive been with you guys, witnessing as well in real! I cant stop myself admiring the culture, tradition, their strong belief, and the people in it. How truly amazing they are. Maybe i am too late to watch this but thankyou for sharing this to the world. I really love it!

Wow... OMG. This movie, and yes, it is a movie, is just perfect. The cinematography work makes this 100 times more impressive... the angles, the cameras you put on the stick Ashdon was using, the consistent filming even through an extremely tough hike... I have been following Yes Theory since Project 30 and I am just in awe at what you guys have accomplished and how far you've come.

Yeah that's literally all done for them by professionals and sponsors paying for everything. All those 2 guys did was complain throughout the video. About leeches and bees, actually saying that in a full beesuit while a guy is barefoot, barehands, no safety literally hanging a bamboo strain away from death hanging what at least 50 yards+ in the air while accepting a full on bee attack with 200 bees actually stinging him. So hypocritical with that positivity speech towards the end as he complained throughout the whole thing and literally has done nothing apart from walking with a go-pro. That's all facts too and what baffles me tbh.

Dang, this was packed of so much danger and discomfort! What an incredibly unique experience but one I rather watch than attempt myself voluntarily. Learning from your guys' story-telling. All those leeches alone would have driven me crazy to begin with, plus the bees, and the constant danger of slipping on those paths or sledding off the muddy road. You guys are incredibly brave (and truly crazy at times)!

ive been on a couple of hikes.. the last one i did was just 7-8 kms but at the end of it i was gassed out. i told myself im never going hiking again idc about the view from the top anymore, im done. watching this video makes me want to get fit and go explore out there again. you guys have pulled a miracle here by getting all the shots that you've gotten. i can only imagine how difficult it must ve been.

This video brought tears to my eyes. I felt so immersed the whole time and did not notice that this was 39 minutes long. And Cory’s shots, are you kidding me? That’s some next level cinematography right there! Just pure talent. I can feel all the effort and passion poured into making this and I cannot be more proud. Yes Theory deserves all the recognition in the world. You guys are INSANE. Hands down the best storytellers and video creators on RU-vid. Please don’t stop making videos.

This is jaw-dropping! The fact that these people do all of this, specially Ashdan, climbing up that cliff with no safety net is insane... and just for honey. It's incredible what these people are able to do with their bodies and minds. They also seem so kind and nice. I bet you guys had a great (exhausting) time. This is probably of the best mini-documentaries/videos, you've done. Great job to every one involve in the making of this video and props to Cory for having the balls to climb down just to get those shots! Simply, fenomenal!

@@pb9405 long story short. My wife and I had the opportunity to remove my nephews from a place they shouldn't ever have been in and we decided to do it. We had 3 children of our own which 2 were much older than our 3rd who's only 2 to 5 years older than my nephews. We did have plans to travel and see things as my children are grown or nearly adult age. We felt it was our responsibility to make sure they didnt go to foster homes or with their biological father, no need to go into details but he should be worm food for his actions against them. It was a choice we made that I have no regrets over and would not change if I had to do it all over again... And recently we also had taken care of my grandmother and mother in our home until their passing. Which sadly happened within 2 months of each other my grandmother to old age and my mother to a long hard fought battle with cancer they both passed as peacefully as possible in their own beds in the arms of those that loved them. I couldn't think of a better way to honor them and show my love and respect for them. You see sir sometimes we just arent given the opportunity to just go do it so we watch, learn and hope that one day we can. Sorry said it was going to be a long story short lol it kinda was though. It's been my own mindset to ask myself "why not just do it" instead of saying "one day I'll do it", but I sometimes forget how complex every persons life is. I've been saving money during my studies and I'm finally leaving next September for a year on a worldtrip alone. If I wait longer then maybe my conditions change and it's no longer possible to leave everything behind for a year. Hope I can also make a good story like yours. Have a good day and a good life!

Ahhh yes.... Nepal. One of the most beautiful places on this planet. Some of the happiest and humblest people I have ever met. The contrast of Kathmandu´s chaos and then the silence up in the mountains. I am happy you had the chance to experience such an intense and intimite visit. And in the middle of monsoon season, you got lucky to see such an amazing panorama of the everest region. For me, the Himalayas humbled me to the core. Humans are just little dots on an ancient mountain face. We can only stand there for a blink of time and take in the beauty. If I could, I´d go back right now.

So glad you finally went to Nepal. This beautiful country was my first experience travelling outside of my home country. I stayed in a remote village much like this for three months building clean water facilities. The experience completely changed my life. Sadly, the charirty that organised the project and many more like it went insolvent and shut down last month. R.I.P Raleigh International, it's a shame the UK goverment decided to withdraw funding despite all the good that came from their existence.

@@GroteGlon The biggest way is that working in the village school teaching hygiene made me want to switch careers to international teaching. I've since worked as a teacher in the UK, Japan, China and I'm currently working on my visa paperwork for Taiwan.

We played with the kids at recess and they showed us their art. They did a cultural dance for us. I can see how you would fall in love with teaching. These kids were eager to learn but had zero technology.

Yes Theory has inspired me to go out and see the world. I'm turning 18 this summer and I'm going on a 2 month long trip across Europe by myself. It's going to be my first time traveling by myself. I wouldn't have had the courage to do this if not for Yes Theory. So, I just wanted to thank you guys!
