Very informative. I made a loop antenna for this purpose by going to the craft store and buying one of those green styrofoam Reef molds. They come in various sizes of diameter.

I've been hunting down RFI that is the first that I've been unable to find in my 31 years as a ham. It's a very illusive one, on the VHF band and only shows up when my repeater is transmitting! I'm going crazy trying to locate it.

I have seen a video on YT where they used a tennis racket as the frame for a QRM hunting loop.

Hello Dave. I found this How-To. Maybe it will be useful to others: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ivr9VbSgjUU.html. What make me wonder, since you suggesting multiple of loops, do you always cut the braid in the middle of the cable? How do You determine the radius?

It might be a little on the large side in this frequency range, but I like Log Periodic antennas for locating noise. I cant tell what the RBW is on that diagram, but a smaller RBW helps too. It helps to have a map that is "to scale", with a compass attached to the antenna.
