Hunting small game is an enjoyable way to put some wild game meat on the table. From jackrabbits, to doves and mearns quail; Arizona offers a mixed bag opportunity for any hunter. Randy Newberg is down along the southern border with friends from Arizona Game & Fish, as well as The Hunting Public.
They start off the day chasing quail with their dogs. They hope to be able to bag a few to prepare for a delicious meal back at camp. After quail, they decide to spend the afternoon chasing the abundant jackrabbit across the public access lands.
After cleaning their quarry, they head back to the camp kitchen to prepare the game for dinner. Arizona Game and Fish's Johnathan O'dell takes the lead in cooking it up for everyone to enjoy.
