My grandfather was in the first class of “Patrol Inspectors“ and was stationed in South Texas. It was a different world back then but he still treated them like human beings. I have pictures of my grandmother standing guard while he ate supper and then she fed them.

How about instead of spending billions on a foreign wars we use that money to give those who want to work a path to a better life. Like fixing our power grid, fixing/ maintaining our federal/state parks, working on our infrastructure, building affordable homes, building/maintaining farms, re-shoring our manufacturing's, improving our clean water/sewage systems. This is not rocket science.

My own personal experience is this. In 2000, my husband, myself, and another couple were visiting South Padres Island, Texas, in 2000 and went across the border from Brownsville into Matamores along with a friend who lived in Brownsville. For the most part, everyone was friendly, and you had good places to eat and shop. You did have a number of people pandering much like we do in the city limits here in middle America. By 2012, our friend told us it wasn't safe to go there because of the cartels, and he moved from Brownsville. A couple of years later, we had people here who weren't supposed to be who weren't so nice and actually attempted to attack another friend of ours, but fortunately, unsuccessfully. Fast forward to now, we have people who aren't legal, one who was just arrested for doing inappropriate things to himself while trying to get a 12 year old to join him. On the positive side of things (hopefully these folks wasn't being taken advantage of because the guy who owns the roofing company is a jerk), the individuals who did that roof were bad a** as far as working. This chick was the lead person, and you could see she knew what she was doing. My point is there's good and bad. In the smaller city here, the bigger and worst problem are homeless people who are very obviously on drugs such as meth and heroin and way too many are oding and/or dying from fentanyl mixed into thrm. Imo the process of 10-15 years is too long, but I do believe people (no matter where they're from) should come here legally and be vetted so we do know who they are. Thank you for another great, informative interview.

There for awhile his Customs and Border Patrol agents on the border at Nogales Arizona were really harassing White local residents especially Nogales and Rio Rico Arizona. These low lifes Customs and Border Patrol fined me almost 1k because I forgot a paper that indicated that I had paid for and I was waiting for my Sentri card to arrive.
