Yeah man totally get what you mean about shooting more hinds that will help keep the numbers low andet the stags grow,Soo many points I didn't cover,I know big velvet stags are prime eating usually real fat in the summer.trophys hunters look after meat hunters by not shooting everything they see but meat hunters will take anything most of the time with out thinking of others 🤷

Wicked hunt joe!! Good attitude towards how you hunt and how selective you are,I think it comes with age that haha 😂, I did the same trip about 23 years with Napier deer stalkers. We didn’t make it to the hut and camped in that saddle the first night. Bit of an experience for first overnight trip as a young fulla. Good to see some stags about to 👍

Crazy year deer could hear that, I didn't know u were shooting gota rewind that, as far as gear I saw a dji mini 2, extra battery and tripod, what else did u bring and how do u charge stuff, do u have a solar charger ?
I just take 1 light as power bank when taking film gear,my drone I only take 1 battery witch last 25mins Soo when I put the drone in the air iv already thought about the shot I need then bring it back asap I don't film at random,my film gear only weighs like 2.5kg. over all pack with tent, cloths,food,beers,camera gear,rifle and accessories on this trip 28kg on the back,that's not including the meat we harvest for the journey

I like n share your stance on deer management dude. we as hunters can have a much betta hunting experience if we alter the brown it's down, nz attitude.
Yeah herd management should be looked at alot more the attitude with trophy hunters and meat hunters.we as hunters should all look after each others needs.here is putting things into perspective Soo the trophy hunter will pass up all kind of deer time and time again giving opportunity s too next guy that walks the country, but will a meat hunters think 🤔 about good velvet stags for trophy hunters the answer is simple no they won't boom boom 💥💥 no thinking on the process at all
