I installed this optic on a crossman 760 air rifle.I have now shot the riffle around 500 times during target/plinking practice, and the ru-vid.comUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope has done well. With this optic, I have neutralized around 30 pigeons that were invading one of my buildings. For my short range air rifle, I will continue to use this scope, but will be upgrading to a more powerful scope, when I buy a more powerful air rifle, in order to shoot at longer distance. For the money I have spent, this scope has truly been a great buy.
Hi Mark, thanks for the video. The Alpex looks like a good bit of kit. Looks like the skeptics are out in force in this comments section. Do you think there’s much chance these people will produce their own RU-vid video doing a side by side comparison of all the scopes they refer to? In this way they could put their money where their mouth are. By conducting a reasonably scientific comparison they can let the facts speak for themselves. Or will they continue to just snipe away at you without putting any effort in to substantiate their views? I always find it interesting that people who enjoy the products of capitalism get surprised that businesses will use a range of different strategies to market their products. Sending items out for review has been a feature of marketing all my adult life. 20 years ago it was done through magazines. Now it’s done through content creators such as yourself. As we all know opinions are ten a penny. Keep up the good work. You clearly put a lot of effort in to create your videos. If your detractors created their own videos rather than be insulting in a comments feed I might give what they say some credence. At this stage I give them none. All the best from Western australia.
Thank you, everyone has their own opinions on products which is fine but I take exception when I’m portrayed as being bias just because I’m reviewing something that someone else doesn’t sell! At least that’s how it appears. The person your referring too has been blocked - I don’t have time for silly keyboard arguments! Thanks for your comments and watching 😉
Thanks for the review, Mark! You just continue to kick more and more ass as time goes on. As soon as Vaccined mandates are lifted I'm talking my wife into a trip to the UK!
Great shooting mark. Never been a fan of the hik micro I’m very old school and just got to grips with the sightmark wraith 4k which does me but still a good bit of kit for someone who likes them. Thanks again for sharing mark. 👍
Some of the comments on here are getting shitty and in my opinion are a bit out of order. I don't know Mark... I've bumped into him at a couple of shows, and have watched his vids for years, but I don't 'know' the guy; but on face value, he seems like a genuine enough bloke. There's lots of 'sold-out' type comments starting to creep into recent threads and it's harsh. It was made clear months ago that he was going to team up with Scott Country and act as a bit of an ambassador for them, and why not... his name was already plastered down the legs of tripods and other shit, so the video stuff was a natural progression. There has to be a commercial angle to these things, how the feck do people think the production costs are met otherwise? If he was promoting 'shit' gear, then fair enough, let-him-have-it, but how do we get to find out about new kit if nobody is putting it out there on the likes of RU-vid. Yes, his vids are more sales orientated nowadays and obviously he's going to put Scott Country out there, but it's the way of things. We all work for somebody and so all 'sell' our allegiances in some way or the other. I do miss some of the old 260 stuff, the more armature vibe possibly, and the comments on load development are missed, (and I think these aspects should be reintroduced). I think the videos do risk tipping too far over into 'sales' at times and if this happens than Scott Country will be damaging the very thing that they sought to gain, (a direct trusted link with common shooters). Maybe some people should consider what they post before casting aspersions. We've got enough opposition in this game without turning on ourselves. From what I can see, the lad's still an avid foxer/shooter and I'd rather he was putting content out there than not doing. My two pennies for what it's worth... have a good weekend all. 👍
a up mate good to have you back on the rips channel. the scope looks nice I've got the thermion 2 and like it a lot but the one thing that bugs me is that it doesn't have a port for a sd and and it looks like that scope is the same bit of a pain when you want to take the video from it. but it is what it is anyway nice shooting mate all the best.
Well there was the perfect opportunity to gain some recorded footage of the low light performance! But sadly didn’t appear, just a tiny glimpse through a mobile.
Hi mark im interested to in the hikmiron scope and the lazer ir did that also come from scott county as well . I've just been granted a 22-250 and im looking to make a set up a night gun for foxes and day for muntjac thanks jason and keep up the good work love the channel
Hi Mark. When using the Alpex and the Sportsmatch mount, do you notice any deviation in zero when changing rifles ?. I have mine set up for sub 12 ratting. Then .22lr for medium range bunnies, and also for the .17hmr. I have yet to change the scope between rifles and it still be spot on zero. Is there something I'm missing ?. I'm seriously considering going back to my Sidewinders, and leaving the Alpex on the ratting gun.
Hi Mark, nice detailed review. Can you tell me if that is the innomount you are using if so what height mount is it? Currently i am a Sightmark Wraith HD user but thinking of changing to the Alpex ! I have a .243 and am waiting on a Anchultz .17 and am looking at the innomount with the view to interchange between both rifles..
@@markfleming1177 Thank you, I will check them out to see if they are available her in Australia . I thought coasters was kind of a funny name for what basically looks like an electrician's cable tie
It’s the ridgeline below zero jacket, I think it is waterproof 🧐 can’t say I’ve worn it in a major downpour but it’s kept me dry in a bit of light rain so far!
If it’s in deer legal hours you don’t need an illuminator as it’s still light, but yes, in England you can use nv or thermal if you wish to shoot deer by day but not at night.
@@NubbyTV101 So how long does the internal battery last i wonder, i suppose if it could do 6 or 7 hours it would be ok, winter work on foxes can run from 7pm until 2am
Hi Mark, I also have this hikmicro and have done a field test review on it and personally I think this is the best day/night vision scope I've owned. I've had the C50, atn 4k pro sightmark wraith pard nv007 and the tube td50. I know your a fan of the sightmark wraith but where you put the Alpex on your list of day/night scopes? Cheers Jim
I think in terms of performance I think the Alpex is better at dusk and I like the fact it’s a 30mm tube etc, I would say the image quality is similar to the wraith when at the same magnification settings. The wraith hd is half the price now which is also a consideration. I think both have their pros and cons. I reckon the Alpex comes out on top over the c50 and td50 although they are all pretty similar 👍
@@260rips I agree and like you I found a few cons with the Alpex but the overall features of the scope are incredible I think with is why I'm keeping hold of it. I have been told that after my review that Hik are looking to add more reticle choices and to improve the zoom function as you go back down to the base mag which will be great 👍
Hi Ian, I’m not quite sure what your issue with me is but it seems everything I give an honest option of, you seem to pop up and say it’s crap and that I’m paid to say something is good when it isn’t? I have used the c50, td50 and Alpex which are all comparable and as I’ve said it’s close but the Alpex is the best of these. My opinion (unlike some reviewers) cant be brought. If I think a product is crap then I won’t review it - simple as that. The truth is there’s very little on the market that actually is crap. Anyone that knows me knows that I’m a man of my word, and I don’t and won’t sell my opinions to anyone.
The sightmark wraith is the best all round Nightvision scope on the market as far as I’m concerned and I still happily use one of the first hd versions. It’s simple and it works well with a good ir. The th50 is a bloody good thermal scope and what I would personally buy if I had the money. I can Id a fox no problem at at least 300 + yards and have shot them over that using this scope. I take it you don’t sell either of these? I’m a Foxer and always have and will be and I know what works and what’s practical in the field. I’ve also always worked and brought my own gear with hard earned cash so I wouldn’t try and influence someone into buying a product I don’t believe in. Now I’m giving my honest opinion so tell me, are you calling me a f&@king liar?
@@iw.blackwood Have to agree with you regarding the Wraith not been in the same class as the Alpex..I have had the Wraith and other similar scopes and now have the Alpex which is in my opinion a far far better scope than the Wraith though is more money but again in my opinion in this case 'You pays your money, takes your choice'
This might be a stupid question obviously I’m not a shooter but I’ve watched all your rips vids , just wondered why you said it was too dark to shoot deer ?
Here in Britain we have a law that says we can only shoot deer from an hour before sunrise to an hour after sunset! So no night shooting without a special permit 🤷🏻♂️
Hi mate yes this is the Sportsmatch quick release one piece mount (low version) from sportsman gun centre. The low version just about fits but it’s close on this set up! If you are using something different you may be better with the medium height version 👍
